Recently, Air Canada announced its new routes and increased frequencies to Europe and Japan for the summer of 2023, and followed up earlier this week with the announcement ofits expanded domestic services.
Today’s announcement of new routes is primarily to New York’sJFK airport from Montreal and Toronto, effective in March. Note that there will also be a new Toronto-Sacramento route starting in June.
Several other services will be restored as of May 1, including Montreal-Nashville, Calgary-Los Angeles and Vancouver-Austin. Finally, service frequency will be increased on several other cross-border routes in the summer of 2023.

Starting March 26, 2023, Air Canada will offer new service to New York’s JFK airport from Toronto and Montreal. These flights will be operated by Air Canada Jazz with the Embraer E175 aircraft, offering 76 seats in business and economy class. The following flights will all be on a daily basis:
The other new route will be a service between Toronto and Sacramento, starting June 1, 2023. Four days a week, travelers will board an Airbus A220-300 aircraft with 137 seats in business and economy class.
Air Canada also indicates the resumption of the following transborder flights for the summer of 2023:
In addition, the frequency of flights to the U.S. will be increased compared to summer 2022 on the following routes:
In total, Air Canada will serve 47 destinations, 95 routes and 400 daily flights to the U.S. by summer 2023. This announcement complements the domestic summer schedule as well as the new international summer schedule.
