Example: Trip for 2 – Western Canada with Air Canada
Let’s take the example of two people wanting to visit Western Canada with Air Canada.
The idea is to leave Montreal, land in Calgary, rent a car and take a road trip to Vancouver.
The goal is to drive along the Iceway Parkway, touch the emerald waters of Lake Louise, pet kangaroos (yes, yes!) in Kelowna and taste Lee’s famous doughnuts at the Granville Island public market.
We will need to make two reservations:
- One-way ticket from Montreal to Calgary
- One-way ticket from Vancouver to Montreal

To book, go to the Air Canada website. Then log in to your account by clicking on “Login” in the top right-hand corner.
Enter your member number and password. If you are not a member, registration is free.
Then, to search for flights using your points, click on the“Book with Aeroplan points” box.
Select your dates and your dream destination. To start the search, click on “Search flights”.

The price in Aeroplan points (14.1K or 14,100 points Aeroplan) is the cost in points for a one-way ticket per person, at the lowest fare class. The $49 is the cost in taxes you will have to pay for this flight.
Clicking on the 14.1K button of the 17:00 Economy flight will open a menu.
