The federal government and Air Canada have reached an agreement for a multi-billion dollar aid package, including a fund to reimburse unused airline tickets following the COVID-19 pandemic.
Talks have been ongoing for several months, and the Government of Canada has consistently made any federal assistance conditional on the refund of cancelled flights and the re-establishment of several regional routes that have been removed.
