The Four Points by Sheraton Istanbul Kağıthane Hotel, built in 2021, has 170 rooms and three suites on twelve floors. Located in the Kağıthane district, an area in full development, we do not choose it for its location but rather for its attractive rate. It is ideal for promotions, such as double nights, or to get closer to a higher status at a low cost.
The Four Points by Sheraton İstanbul Kağıthane is located in the Kağıthane district, established opposite a shopping mall, and it is, in fact, the only attraction in the vicinity.
The neighbourhood’s surroundings are not very interesting, it is under reconstruction, but its future looks promising. There are many buses, and the nearest metro station is a 15-minute walk away.
However, if you have a car, parking is free. The cab ride to and from the airport is about 25 euros. This hotel does not offer a shuttle service.
I had a six night trip planned to Istanbul and wanted to take advantage of a low rate, to take advantage of the current promo (double nights and the 1,000 point per night), so the Four Points by Sheraton Istanbul Kağıthane with its rates of less than 58 euros per night.

First of all, the mask is now optional for clients. However, employees continue to wear it.
Since March 3, wearing a mask is no longer mandatory in Turkey, except in schools, hospitals, cinemas, theatres, and public transportation.
I arrived at thisFour Points hotel late in the evening. The staff greeted me with a smile and a bottle of water. An appreciated gesture. After the usual applications (passport, credit card – Marriott etc.), I am informed of the benefits I am entitled to as a Titanium member.
The employee always tells me about the 500 single point or the free lunches for the six nights with a smile. I didn’t have to confirm; he told me it would be more advantageous for lunches. I am also informed that I have been upgraded to a deluxe corner room. I had not made any request via chat and accepted the room without asking for more.
Let’s talk about the hotel lobby. It is modern and large, and the predominant colours are brown and gray. As soon as you enter the lobby, you can see the massive light fixture that hangs over it. A space with armchairs, couches, chairs, and tables is to the right. This is also where we find the foyer. The space is very cozy.
To the left of the entrance is the Pearl Lobby Bar. The space is also well arranged: armchairs, tables, and stools at the bar. And it’s just as cozy. They have a Starbucks counter right at the bar. As a bonus, the bar staff is friendly and professional.
The reception counter is located just after these two spaces. Opposite this counter is a large table (which serves as a meeting room) where you can work in peace. They also have a tiny space, with a computer, located near the elevators.
The room is located on the 9th floor, and to access it, you have to show your card to the elevator reader. Excellent attention for me; they left a plate of Turkish pastries, a 20% discount at the spa, and a free exfoliating foam massage on the desk.
The room is not huge, but it is very comfortable. In shades of gray with a carpet in light and dark colours, it has a king bed – very cozy – and an armchair and a table. On each side of the bedside table, there is a USB plug and a telephone and an alarm clock. The room has a large desk with an ergonomic chair, which is convenient for working.
Of course, the room has a television, refrigerator, safe, iron and ironing board, two bathrobes and storage space. Complimentary bottled water is available every day.
The bathroom is small but functional, with a glass shower with a rain effect, a sink and a toilet. We find the products necessary for personal hygiene. I think it’s a shame that we use tiny, single-use bottles instead of large containers.
In general, the room was clean, but the night after my arrival, when I tried to turn on the desk lamp, I realized that a portion of the room had not been appropriately cleaned (there were tissues between the desk and the window).
A small message via the chat, and I am offered to change room. After midnight, things are set; I don’t really want to move. So by mutual agreement, they will come in the morning to clean the room. When I returned to the hotel in the evening, I found a fruit platter, an apology letter, and another free exfoliating foam massage.
The Four Points by Sheraton İstanbul Kağıthane has a Pearl Lobby Bar bar located in the hotel lobby.
There is also a Paperhouse Restaurant located on the second floor. It is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Lunch is offered in buffet style, with a wide variety of dishes. We can also ask for eggs with the preparation of our choice. The buffet price is 9 euros (free for platinum members and above).
It is an à la carte menu in the evening, with Turkish and international dishes. The prices are affordable, and the dishes are tasty. Please note that it is impossible to add meals or drinks taken at the bar to your hotel bill. However, they take Amex, and it counts as a room expense (5 points). Therefore, it will be advisable to use the Carte Marriott BonvoyMC American ExpressMD or the Carte Marriott BonvoyMC Entreprise American ExpressMD.
For lovers of relaxation, the Zen Spa, with its Turkish hammam, sauna and small massage center, is for you. The professional staff will do everything to make your experience enjoyable. On the other hand, no swimming pool in this hotel.
The Four Points by Sheraton İstanbul Kağıthane has a small fitness center to get in shape. Tiny and very lightly equipped (treadmill, stationary bike and a set of weights), it will please those who want to focus on cardio.
The Four Points by Sheraton İstanbul Kağıthane is not the best hotel in Istanbul for sightseeing. Still, for the price, it may be worth spending a night or two there during promotions or to accumulate nights on the cheap.
Otherwise, if public transportation is not a problem for you, many buses run to metro stations, and the hotel is less than fifteen minutes’ walk from the Kağıthane metro station (M7). Moreover, parking is free, so it’s worth it if this city is only a stopover on a road trip.
