We chose to stay at the Best Western Plus Hotel Brice Garden during a family visit to Nice.
The Best Western Plus Hotel Brice Garden is conveniently located in a residential area (between the Musicians’ Quarter and the Golden Square) about 100 meters from the Promenade des Anglais, one of the most renowned French boulevards.
His address: 44 Rue du Maréchal Joffre, 06000 Nice
During the day, the lobby is particularly bright and welcoming.
We are really in a “boutique hotel” of Best Western.
This time, no reservation had been made for this night. In fact, in Nice, we have friends or family who can frequently accommodate us.
However, having arrived late that evening, we decided to follow a couple of Canadian friends who had booked a room in this hotel!
We were “lucky” to get the last room available at our late check-in at around 9 p.m.
Our couple of friends received an upgrade to a room… with 2 double beds… thing that refrained from saying the receptionist when he sold us his last room (actually our friends’ room upgraded)!
Once in their room, our friends warned us of the possibility of sleeping with them… but the receptionist didn’t want to hear anything, too happy to have sold us his last room.
In short… Here is a photo description of the establishment.
We head to our room, 308, located on the 3rd floor.
Our room is of good size and has 1 queen bed.
The furniture is rather new and well arranged.
Electric rolling shutters prevent the entry of any outside light.
The alcove windows and the south-facing exposure are also appreciated.
In the bathroom, there are basic products from the Best Western brand.
The shower is not of a high quality… but does the job.
At the lobby level are the hotel’s restaurant and bar.
With a cozy corner. It is located between the reception and the elevators to get to the rooms.
At the lobby level is a large, colourful and bright lounge.
This is where you’ll find a computer with a printer.
The breakfast room is located at the bottom of the elevator.
The choice of breakfast is diverse and with fresh produce.
What makes this hotel so charming is its garden.
We really feel like we’re in a “French mansion”.
Quite rare – and appreciated – for a chain establishment like Best Western.
A small fountain refreshes the atmosphere and gives even more charm to this hotel.
Despite a small snag at first with the evening receptionist, our stay went well at this hotel.
We particularly appreciated its location 5-10 minutes walk from all the interesting points of interest:
There are also two new tram stations nearby:
This tram connects Nice airport directly in less than 30 minutes… for less than CA$ 2!
The Best Western Plus Hotel Brice Garden is a good place to use your Best Western Rewards points!
