Last flight segment of our mini-tour of the world with Aeroplan miles: our return to Montreal from San Francisco. First, a quick visit to the United Club Lounge in the International Terminal of the San Francisco Airport.
After a very early wake up, we are at the San Francisco Airport. United is currently renovating most of its United Club lounges as part of its transition to United Polaris, its new business class brand.
The show we are presenting today is therefore a “temporary” show. This lounge is accessible to Star Alliance Gold members or passengers traveling in business class (which is what we are doing today).
If you are a Priority Pass member, you will have to go to the Air France KLM lounge located in hall A of the international terminal.
We are among the first to enter the lounges. It’s quite rare to see a United lounge “empty”.
The living room is divided into two parts: a relaxation part with several corners with very comfortable armchairs.
As well as a high table for people wishing to work:
The side tables between each chair are equipped with electrical and USB outlets.
Asian touches are brought to this International Terminal lounge, which amuses Alexandra!
A quiet corner is dedicated to United’s Global Services passengers:
And a “catering” part with several tables for meals.

The buffet is rather varied and of good content for an American airline lounge.

On the drinks side, alcohol is at will (not much for us at 7am):
We’ll head for a good coffee and cold drinks instead:
Important note for parents with young children: the restroom includes a changing table 🙂
This United Club show is a little surprise. It’s nothing special, but I find it stands out from a lot of American lounges where there are just a few soft drinks and pretzels. It was perfect to spend half an hour before our flight to Montreal on Air Canada.
