Luxury and haute cuisine meet at Hamad International Airport in Doha, Qatar, with the opening of the brand new Louis Vuitton Lounge by Yannick Alléno.
This collaboration between the famous French fashion house, the multi-star French chef and Qatar Dury Free promises truly opulent moments, at the heart of what many consider to be the world’s best airport.
Want to take a look? You must have Gold or Platinum status in the Qatar Airways loyalty program, Privilege Club, or to be a Louis Vuitton VIP. You can’t even get through the gates of this new Eldorado with a seat in a QSuite on Qatar Airways. Overview.
Luxury, glamour and fine dining. Three words to describe the new Louis Vuitton lounge designed by Yannick Alléno at Doha’s Hamad International Airport. Designed in a contemporary style with touches of Louis Vuitton’s emblematic identity, the lounge is a true oasis in the heart of one of the world’s most innovative centers.
Coffee tables by India Mahdavi, high tables by Paolo Lenti, Costela armchairs by Martin Eisler, Bell lamps by Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby, lounge chairs from the Objets Nomades collection by Marcel Wanders. There has been a lot of attention to detail here. From the moment they enter, guests are immersed in a warm, sophisticated atmosphere, with an interior design that combines the modern aesthetics of Louis Vuitton with the timeless elegance of Chef Yannick Alléno.
Neutral tones, fine materials and carefully selected works of art combine to delight the aesthete, who can enjoy an atmosphere that is both soothing and sophisticated. And even though it’s in the heart of a huge airport, the lounge is a lush jungle, with an abundance of greenery and hanging Quetzal bird mobiles.
As the Louis Vuitton Lounge by Yannick Alléno is one of the most exclusive lounges in the world, access is limited. As mentioned above, only those invited by Louis Vuitton and those with Gold or Platinum status in the Qatar Airways Privilege Club loyalty program will have access to the lounge.
And to achieve Gold status, you must earn 300 Qpoints in 12 months. How? Fly with Qatar Airways or one of the member airlines of the Oneworld alliance. The number of points earned depends on the segment completed and the class reserved.
The Louis Vuitton Lounge by Yannick Alléno is open day and night. For the renowned French chef, it was important to create a place that would be accessible at all times, so that “every traveler would feel welcome, no matter where they were.”
The Louis Vuitton Lounge by Yannick Alléno is located at the very heart of Al Mourjan Business Lounge The Garden. But it wasn’t enough that the 7,000-square-foot lounge for Oneworld Business and Première travelers featured multiple food and beverage outlets, lounges open around the clock, and soon a Dior gym and spa. What was needed was a space that no luxury brand had ever ventured into before: an airport lounge.
To reach the Eldorado, travellers must pass through Qatar Airways‘ second Al Mourjan lounge, located in the airport’s recently expanded departures and transfers terminal. This is only available to passengers flying in Business or First class with Qatar Airways or any other airline member of the Oneworld alliance, including British Airways.
One of the highlights of the Louis Vuitton Lounge by Yannick Alléno is undoubtedly the gastronomy. The renowned French chef has created an exclusive à la carte menu for the show, showcasing his passion for refined flavors and quality ingredients. Passengers can enjoy French and international cuisine, prepared with local produce and meticulous attention to detail.
Parisian and local pastries, caviar, smoked salmon, Kobe beef, lobster sandwich, rice pilaf with dried fruits and spices. Each dish is an ode to good food. Still hungry? Don’t hesitate to try the tasting menu which, for just over 350 euros, includes langoustine carpaccio with geranium essence and lamb shoulder confit flavored with yuzu. You’ll love it.
While the lounge’s primary focus is dining, travelers will be pleased to learn that it also features numerous relaxation areas where they can rest or work at their leisure, as well as an exclusive selection of Louis Vuitton products, ranging from travel accessories to the brand’s iconic leather goods.
Located directly above the Louis Vuitton boutique, the lounge also offers personalized services such as private consultations and reservations for special experiences around the world.
