Iga Air Miles Gift Card
To the point Here's a tip to earn up to 49 AIR MILES Bonus Miles on the purchase of $100 worth of gift cards at IGA from May 6 to May 12, 2021.

Earn AIR MILES Bonus Miles for gift cards at IGA

Caroline, our AIR MILES specialist, has spotted a great offer for AIR MILES collectors, members of the Milesopedia community!

From May 6 to May 12, 2021, IGA is running an offer for the purchase of gift cards:

  • 10 AIR MILES Bonus Miles upon purchase of any gift cards with a total value of $50
  • 25 AIR MILES Bonus Miles upon purchase of any gift cards with a total value of $100
Iga Gift Cards Promo

If you have the BMO® AIR MILES® World Elite®* Mastercard®*, you can earn 3 miles for every $12 spent at IGA (and participating AIR MILES partners). This is a new feature of this card since May 3, 2021.

So if you buy $100 worth of gift cards at IGA from May 6 to May 12, 2021, with your BMO® AIR MILES® World Elite®* Mastercard®*, you’ll earn:

That’s 49 AIR MILES Bonus Miles. A minimum value of $5 in Cash Rewards. That’s a 5% return.

If you prefer to earn cash back, also as of May 3, 2021, the BMO® CashBack® World Elite®* Mastercard®* offers 5% cash back at grocery stores (up to $500 in purchases per month).

Alternatively, for IGA grocery stores that accept American Express – there are more and more of them every day – you could use your American Express credit card like the American Express® AIR MILES®* Platinum Credit Card. With this Card, you can earn 1 mile for every $5 spent at grocery stores like IGA.

So, if you buy $100 worth of gift cards at IGA from May 6 to May 12, 2021, with your American Express® AIR MILES®* Platinum Credit Card, you will earn:

That’s 45 AIR MILES Bonus Miles. A minimum value of $4.72 in Cash Rewards. That’s a 4.7% return.

Finally, still on the American Express side, you could use the best credit card offering 5X the points at grocery stores like IGA: the American Express Cobalt™ Card. A way for you to earn AIR MILES Reward Miles and points for future travel!

So, if you buy $100 worth of gift cards at IGA from May 6 to May 12, 2021, with your American Express Cobalt™ Card, you’ll earn:

  • 25 AIR MILES Bonus Miles upon purchase of any gift cards with a total value of $100
  • 500 Membership Rewards points when you pay with your American Express Cobalt™ Card

That’s 25 AIR MILES Bonus Miles (a $2.62 value in Cash Rewards) and 500 Membership Rewards points (a $5 value if redeemed for travel). That’s a total value of $7.62… a 7.62% return!

Once again, this proves that the American Express Cobalt™ Card is the best credit card for groceries in Canada (but also for food delivery, restaurants, bars, convenience stores, etc.).

If you don’t have this card yet, don’t wait: the current offer ends today!
