My Dream Trip with Aeroplan contest: vote for your favourite itinerary!

On April 1, we launched the My Dream Trip with Aeroplan contest. Closing on April 30, the contest was a huge success in Canada, with over 6,500 dream itineraries designed around Aeroplan points!

Thank you all for your wonderful participation. Today, we need your help to elect our winners: vote for one of the selected itineraries and enter for a chance to win a $100 gift card!

As part of our Aeroplan contest, with the help of our partner Aeroplan, we selected three projects within North America and three outside the North American segment. The choice was difficult and based on a score containing many criteria, including:

• the type of destinations: popular, attractive and diverse, covering different regions of the world to offer a variety of experiences.
• orignality and purpose of the trip,
• the region’s accessibility in terms of flight options,
• the value and budget of the trip,
• the safety of the regions covered,
• and customer experience along the entire route.

Today, it’s up to you to choose the two winning itineraries! Browse the itineraries for each segment and vote for your favourites using the form below.

To ensure impartial voting, we have anonymized and formatted them to make it easier for you to choose. Thanks to you, two prizes of 75,000 and 100,000 points, respectively, will be awarded to the participants who submit the two best itineraries.

The voting period will run from May 19 to May 26, 2024, and will be shared on Milesopedia’s social networks. The winners will be announced on May 31, 2024. Get involved!

Here are a few interesting details that emerged from the analysis of our My Dream Trip with Aeroplan contest results, which received 11,780 entries! We’re very proud of this result and’d like to thank you for it.

More than 6,500 dream itineraries shared by Aeroplan members across Canada have been collected:

• 1,504 for the North America segment and
• 5,012 for the outside North America segment.

On all the itineraries submitted, participants designed their own travel plans:

• in a couple (47%)
• with family (28%),
• solo (18%),
• with friends (7%).

The most popular periods were September (16%), May (10%) and June (10%). Finally, the majority of Aeroplan Members submitted travel plans based on air rewards (54%), air+hotel rewards (10%) or all-inclusive vacation packages (8%).

We’ve come up with some great travel ideas, and we’ll keep trying to inspire you to make your travel dreams come true with points!
