Air Canada + Chase: US Credit Card and Ultimate Rewards Partnership

To the point Air Canada and Chase will offer an Aeroplan credit card in the U.S. by the end of 2021, as well as a partnership with Ultimate Rewards.

A new Aeroplan US Credit Card with Chase

Air Canada has just announced a partnership with Chase – the largest co-brand credit card issuer – to offer an Aeroplan credit card in the United States.

The new Aeroplan Credit Card from Chase – a Mastercard – is expected to launch in late 2021. This card will probably have similar benefits to Aeroplan credit cards available in Canada.

In the past, there was an Aeroplan credit card in the U.S. offered by TD Bank and Visa, but it did not come with significant benefits, unlike the one we have in Canada.

Between the U.S. and Canada, Air Canada will offer credit cards with all three networks: American Express, Mastercard and Visa!

Also, Aeroplan will become a transfer partner of Chase Ultimate Rewards program at the end of 2021.

While we are well endowed in Canada with Aeroplan credit cards, it is good news for the vitality of the program to see the arrival of Chase as an issuer in the United States. And having Aeroplan as a transfer partner for Chase Ultimate Rewards.
