It’s already time to start thinking about next winter!
Starting in winter 2025, Toronto will also have new direct flights to Rio de Janeiro, Cartagena (Colombia), Pointe-à-Pitre (Guadeloupe), and Guadalajara (Mexico).
These additions are part of Air Canada’s international expansion from its Toronto Pearson hub, where the airline is consolidating its presence. Starting in summer 2026, Toronto will also be connected to Shanghai and Budapest, with an increase in flights to Prague. The new Boeing 787-10 fleet, initially based in Toronto, will support this growth.
Passengers will also benefit from new regional flights: Fredericton–Ottawa and Moncton–Ottawa starting December 15, 2025, Fort McMurray–Vancouver service three times a week beginning December 2, 2025, as well as increased frequency on Sudbury–Toronto flights starting February 1, 2026.
These flights are already available for booking, and some destinations are pending approval from the relevant aviation authorities.
First, it’s important to note that Air Canada is resuming flights to Lima. The Peruvian capital will be served by two non-stop flights per week from Toronto (YYZ) and four non-stop flights per week from Montreal (YUL).
Additionally, Montreal gains a weekly direct connection to Belize City (BZE), for better access to this Central American gem.
Next, Air Canada becomes the first Canadian carrier to offer direct flights to Puerto Escondido from Toronto. Additionally, the new Vancouver-Tepic route opens access to the magnificent Riviera Nayarit region, which strategically coincides with the opening of a new highway connecting Tepic to Puerto Vallarta in October 2025.
Book early to take advantage of the best rates, especially during the holiday season!
