Desjardins is the first financial institution in Canada to offer completely free access to Equifax and TransUnion!
Following the personal information data leak in 2019, Desjardins had offered the Equifax credit monitoring service free of charge to all its customers for 5 years. As it will come to an end in June 2024, the addition of the TransUnion credit bureau is welcome to continue the vigil.
After June 2024, free subscription to Equifax will end for those who registered via Desjardins. Those who wish to keep their Equifax subscription can do so at their own expense.
Here’s how to consult your Equifax and TransUnion credit information via the Desjardins AccèsD platform.
After accessing your AccèsD file on the website or in the mobile application, click on Credit report.
Next, you’ll see that you can view your credit report at TransUnion and Equifax.
When you click on View your report under the Equifax section, a new window will open.
On the home page, you’ll find your current Equifax credit score.
Another section of interest is the Report section. This is the most interesting place, where you’ll find all the queries and open accounts linked to your profile.
After entering your AccesD file, click on Credit Report.
When you click on View your report in the TransUnion section, a new window will open.
On the home page, your TranUnion credit rating is prominently displayed, with today’s date.
At the top, you’ll find the Credit Report section. This is the place to go to analyze all the queries and open accounts linked to your profile.
