If you only have twenty-four hours to visit Brussels, the Brussels Marriott Hotel Grand Place is a great home away from home.
Passing through Brussels between two destinations, I wanted a luxury hotel close to everything to optimize my overnight stay, and the Brussels Marriott Hotel Grand Place ticked all these boxes.
The room rate was $421 per night or 44,000 in Marriott Bonvoy points. Therefore, I chose to use my 35,000 point certificate in addition to 9,000 points to complete the reservation.

The Brussels Marriott Hotel Grand Place is located just behind the Grote Markt (Grand Place), Brussels’ tourist attraction. It takes 28 minutes by train and 12 minutes on foot to get directly to the hotel.
The entrance hall is spacious and has an area with a chair for waiting if necessary. The staff’s welcome is warm and professional. Thanks to my Platinum status, we were entitled to an upgrade to the Executive Suite.
Due to our early arrival, the suite was not ready but we left our suitcases in their secure space.
Located on the 6th floor, the Executive Suite offers breathtaking views of the city’s buildings and skyline from its porthole windows.
It is spacious and elegant, with a well-designed layout: a king size bed, a workspace, and a corner with a sofa bed.
The large bathroom, with a separate shower and bath, is made entirely of marble and is stocked with top-quality personal care products.
This brasserie-style restaurant is highly recommended for its rotisserie and revisited Belgian dishes. Open daily from noon to 10:30 pm.
Open daily from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Barcine offers international cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere.
Breakfast is served at the Rotisse. It is in the form of a buffet and is quite varied. A chef prepares the eggs to your liking, and there is a station for making waffles. As with all buffets, you’ll find pastries, cold cuts, fruits, and more.
For members with Platinum status and above, breakfast is offered for free here – or in the lounge – depending on your preference.
Hotel guests and other Marriott members can also have breakfast here, but I don’t know what the cost of the buffet is. Opening hours are Monday to Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., and 6:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
The executive lounge, available to Platinum and Superior members, is open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily, and is well appointed with a friendly atmosphere.
The continental breakfast is offered from 6:00 AM to 10:30 AM, and in the evening, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM, beer and wine, along with hot and cold appetizers, are offered for free.
Open at all times, the gym is free for hotel guests. Although small, it includes basic equipment such as exercise bikes, elliptical trainers and treadmills. Towels and bottled water are available on site.
Located directly in Brussels’ historic district, it’s easy to explore the city from the Brussels Marriott Hotel Grand Place.
In addition to the Grote Markt, which is right next to the hotel, the hotel is within walking distance of the famous (and popular) Manneken Pis, as well as its female counterpart, Jeanneke Pis. You should also visit the Brussels City Hall; with its Gothic architecture, it’s a must-see in the city. For Tintin fans and comic book lovers in general, in the vicinity you’ll find, besides the official Tintin shop, many murals paying tribute to various Belgian characters. Additionally, this part of the city is home to numerous bars and restaurants.
My stay at the Brussels Marriott Hotel Grand Place was short but very pleasant. The Executive Suite was perfect, the breakfast succulent, and the staff extremely friendly. It’s a great place to be.
Its location is simply ideal for a quick visit to the city. Even though the hotel doesn’t have a pool, I would still recommend it without hesitation. As for the price, for a hotel of this category and given its strategic location, it’s quite affordable.
