We stayed at the Aloft Dubai South for the Dubai Air Show. It’s a popular choice for travellers seeking both style and proximity to Dubai DWC International Airport, just minutes away. The hotel’s unique and quirky decor, created by local artists, sets it apart. Here are the details of its amenities and services.
Room reservations start at 75 CAD per night. However, prices were twice as high during the Dubai Air Show event.

Here is some information about the hotel:
Located precisely at Al Maktoum International Airport – Dubai World Central (DWC), Aloft Dubai South offers easy access for transit or business travellers. This strategic location is also close to major Dubai attractions like Dubai Parks and Resorts, Expo Dubai 2020, and the Dubai Exhibition Center. For visits to downtown Dubai, about 40 minutes away, a more central hotel may be preferable.
The hotel also offers free parking and a limited shuttle service to Dubai South and Ibn Battuta Mall, as well as a shuttle to the DWC terminal on request.
Check-in at Aloft Dubai South was smooth, and the receptionist was very welcoming.
Check-in starts at 3 PM with the option for mobile check-in. Guests can check in before arrival and receive alerts when their room is ready. Check-out is at noon, but Marriott Bonvoy Titanium members can enjoy a late check-out at 4 PM.
The lobby offers a modern, colourful space for relaxation or fun, with a pool table, football table, and two workspaces with a printer.
The halls and common areas are decorated in the same continuity: colorful and graphic. The environment is dynamic and unique, ideal for professionals and young travellers.
Aloft Dubai South features 145 loft-inspired rooms, including six Savvy corner rooms. We were offered an Aloft room overlooking a desert wasteland during our stay.
Rooms at Aloft Dubai South are both comfortable and stylish. Each room is equipped with essential amenities for a stress-free stay. They feature free Wi-Fi, ideal for business travellers or those who want to stay connected.
Rooms also have a comfortable bed, flat-screen TV and bathroom with all the necessary toiletries. Housekeeping services are provided daily to ensure a clean and welcoming environment.
At the entrance to the room is a service tray with a kettle, two bottles of water and other items for coffee and tea. A safe is available, as well as a small space for clothes with two drawers and an open closet.
The bathroom is divided into two areas: at the entrance with a countertop sink and a modern shower and toilet.
The choice of nearby restaurants is limited. We did, however, enjoy the breakfast meal offered at the Nook. The restaurant is also open for lunch, dinner and snacks. The W XYZ bar offers refreshing cocktails and DJ entertainment to round off the evening.

Aloft Dubai South offers a buffet breakfast at an additional cost, served from 6:30 am to 10:30 am. Breakfast includes a variety of options to suit all tastes. Vegetarian and halal options are available, as well as full continental dishes. For those in a hurry, the hotel also offers a takeaway breakfast.
The outdoor area is pleasant for meals or evening drinks by the pool. Two armchairs allow sunbathing with feet in the water, and a long graphic fresco, likely created by graffiti artists, adorns the wall.
A fully equipped gym is open 24/7 for those looking to stay active.
The area features a few varied restaurants and nearby attractions, with golf courses and lakes for strolls. The Expo Dubai 2020 center is 20 minutes away, and Dubai Parks and Resorts, offering access to several theme parks, is at the same distance. You can book a desert excursion for a morning camel safari or try your hand at dune bashing and sandboarding. These excursions are a 25-minute drive from the hotel.
All in all, we booked this Marriott hotel for its convenience, its proximity to DWC airport and its modern decor. The hotel was full during our stay, but this was not an issue. The rooms are well insulated and quiet. We appreciated the style and unobstructed view from our room.
