Air Canada announces a new non-stop flight between Montreal and Madrid starting in May 2024.

This will make it easier to connect via Madrid for travel elsewhere in Europe! There will be 5 flights a week, and bookings are already available from today.

All flights will be operated with Boeing 787-8 aircraft. The available cabins are :

• in Air Canada Signature Class with lie-flat seats,
• in Economy Privilege class,
• and Economy class.

Here are Air Canada’s schedules for direct flights between Montreal and Madrid:

The flight from Montreal to Madrid takes 7 hours 10 minutes. The return journey takes 8 hours 5 minutes.

* The schedule has been designed to optimize connections with flights to and from Europe, via Air Canada’s Montreal hub.

For example, you can have a one-way ticket from Montreal to Madrid:

• from $950 in economy class
• or in a superb single cabin in Signature class with a sofa bed for around $7,300

The same flight is available for as little as 34,000 Aeroplan points and $67 in economy class.

In Business class, the cost is approximately 164,000 Aeroplan points + $67.

In addition, initially scheduled for Summer 2023, there will be an increase in non-stop flights from Montreal to Rome for Summer 2024.

This new non-stop flight from Montreal to Madrid joins announcements of new routes for 2023 – 2024, such as Vancouver – Dubai, Vancouver – Singapore and Montreal – Amsterdam.

All that remains is final approval from the federal government to confirm this new route.
