On my round trip from Paris to Dubai in First Class on Emirates, I followed the directions to the Emirates lounge by taking the elevator.
I stumbled upon the Paul Maxence lounge in Terminal 2A. The Emirates Première lounge was closed at that time. I only had to turn around for the hostess of this lounge to invite me in.
The place is out of the ordinary and mixes French chic with an eclectic and classic style. Originally, Paul Maxence (based in Montreal) offered a luxurious concierge service of the same name to his clients in the form of a private club.
What we find here is a refined service, which is out of the ordinary compared to lounges we can usually see in airports.
As I entered the Paul Maxence Lounge, the receptionist directed me to the lounge space. We enter a main lounge and then I see multiple small, very comfortable lounges, some of which are more intimate, scattered around the sides. I was looking for a place to stay for several hours (I stayed there for 8 hours in fact!).
Another rare fact, the Salon Paul Maxence offers a very charming outdoor terrace. As it was November, I only stayed there for a few moments, but I have no doubt of its popularity in warmer weather.
Several people were present but as the hours passed the lounge emptied, allowing me to take more pictures for you:
As we were in COVID-19 period, the food was covered with plastic film: verrines, pastries, yoghurts and fruits. A selection of drinks is freely available including beers. There is also the option of enjoying a good coffee.
An excellent lounge at Roissy Charles de Gaulle that we suggest you visit during one of your stopovers!
