I chose to stay at the Courtyard Paris Porte de Versailles when I was in Paris for the IFTM 2022 trade show, held at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles exhibition center, located just a few minutes walk away.
Paris remains a costly destination when you want to stay there, even for a short stay. When I was there, no hotel was available for less than 400 CAD a night in the area because of the different exhibitions at that time.
I could find prices ranging from 250 CAD to 580 CAD, all taxes included, depending on the dates. The price was, however, fixed in point at 30,000 points per night. This means that my points for this period are valued at 420 / 30,000 x 100 = 1.4 cents per point, which is much higher than the estimated valuation of 0.9 by Milesopedia.

It took about 20 minutes to reach the courtyard of Paris Porte de Versailles hotel from Paris-Orly airport by cab. I could have taken the Orlybus or the metro with several changes to make, but this would have taken double the time.
There are two metro entrances within walking distance of the hotel, Porte de Versailles and Corentin Celton, located on the green line number 12. The district is frequented by a business clientele mainly. In addition to the hotels, there are several restaurants and some supermarkets.
When I came, the hotel was bustling. That evening, a corporate party was held in a closed room on the first floor. I was quickly taken care of at the front desk, with the reception counter across from the entrance.
I chose the breakfast discount as a welcome gift before taking the elevators to my standard room 424 to rest.
The hotel lobby was welcoming with its different spaces. The hotel provides guests with two high desks with computers and printers and umbrellas.
The elevators were in a hallway that also led to the dining room. The common areas are sober in shades of blue and beige on the floor.
The hotel offers 350 rooms and suites of which the following are the different categories:
I liked the layout of the room, which was modern, with a king bed. There was a simple office area, a rest area with a sofa bed and a footstool. Behind a wall mirror was an ironing board. A mini-refrigerator and a safe were placed in the cabinet where the coffee machine and a tray with kettle, glasses and cups were placed.
The bathroom was clean and modern, with a shower.
My room overlooked an outdoor area that was under construction, but I was not disturbed during my stay.
Many people were present in the breakfast room. The room was separated into the buffet area and the tables and seats. The decoration was more industrial; I found the atmosphere less warm and intimate than the rest of the hotel. The hotel staff seemed quite overwhelmed when I visited.
An outdoor terrace was present, but as we were at the end of September, it was already cold to settle in.
The offer was rather classic, with juice, pastries, cold cuts, cheese, yogurt, fruit, sausages and scrambled eggs.
On the first floor, to the right of the reception, there is a nice bar with seating at the bar as well as various sofas and a high counter for seating. The space is not very large but is quite pleasant.
The hotel offers a very nice fitness room for those who want to work out.
The hotel offers three rooms for events, the largest of which can accommodate up to 150 people.
My stay at the Courtyard Porte de Versailles – Marriott hotel was furtive and functional. This type of hotel is very well suited for a short stay and is especially suitable for business guests.
