Recently, upon returning from a family stay in New York, we stayed at the Best Western Plus Plattsburgh Hotel.
To make this reservation, we had 2 choices:
We preferred to keep our Best Western points for later use (for example, waiting for the fall promotion at 10,000 points per night for any Best Western hotel)!
If you don’t yet have the Best Western Rewards® Mastercard credit card, please check out its detailed presentation in this article. A card:

The Best Western Plus Plattsburgh Hotel is an unpretentious hotel, perfect for a one-night stay. It has chargers for Tesla electric cars and a free shuttle to the airport.
In fact, most people who stay there go before flying from nearby Plattsburgh airport, or returning late from a flight from the south.
For us, it was after a long weekend in New York with the children. After a good 5 hours on the road, the children didn’t want to stay in the car for another minute!
So we looked at our options, and the Best Western Plus Plattsburgh was the best of them:
We arrived at the Best Western Plus Plattsburgh hotel around 8pm. We were particularly well-received by the receptionist who rated our Diamond Select status in the Best Western Rewards program (obtained via a status equivalency as explained here).
As a result, he told us that he had upgraded… which should no doubt please “both children and parents”.
He also gave us a basket of treats (chips, diverse drinks) for the children, as well as a coupon for the Grill and Bar restaurant next door to the hotel. Note the Hotel’s Wi-Fi code“Canadian friendly.”
So we head to our room, 118, a “Queen Suite” located in the immediate vicinity of the indoor pool.
The room, a Queen Suite, is made up of two rooms.
First, the bedroom side with a queen bed.
In this room, there is also an office desk and a small – television:
Adjacent to it is the bathroom with some care products:
The second room of the suite is actually a bedroom that has been converted into a living room. There is a sofa bed and a refrigerator AND a microwave (very popular with parents to heat the milk bottles, believe me!)
But the centerpiece of the suite is its bubbling bath! Never-before-seen for our children, very excited at the idea of “having a pool in their room”.
In short, this Queen Suite was ideal for our needs, especially with young children.
The only downside is that the heating / air conditioning systems are particularly noisy.
The major attraction of the Best Western Plus Plattsburgh is its huge heated indoor pool.
Our daughter Alexandra loves swimming pools. His brother Arthur, a little less…!
We try to book a hotel that contains one every time, and that’s why we chose to book at best Western Plus Plattsburgh. And we can say that it is in this hotel that Arthur will have made his first real dive … breaking the“No Diving” prohibitions!
Rooms overlook the swimming pool. These are usually more expensive, but I’m not sure it’s a good option if many people frequent the pool (especially since it’s open from 7:30am to 11:00pm)!
Also note the presence of play areas for children and teenagers.
A gym is available at Best Western Plus Plattsburgh.
It is nice with all the right amenities:
Breakfast is usually included in Best Western hotels. This was the case at Best Western Plus Plattsburgh.
The breakfast room is very large and recently renovated.
An overview:
This is a traditional American breakfast.
The Best Western Plus Plattsburgh hotel is a safe value if you need to stay in Plasttsburgh. Available for 20,000 Best Western Rewards points per night – the equivalent of a Best Western Rewards® Mastercard credit card application – it’s nice, especially for families.
We will not hesitate to return during an upcoming visit to Plattsburgh.
