Aloft Abu Dhabi offers excellent value for money, with competitive rates for both cash and Marriott Bonvoy points bookings. Rates typically range from 250 Emirati Dirhams in low season to 420 Emirati Dirhams in high season for a double room.

Personally, I paid around AED 300 for my one-night stay (about CAD 100).

The hotel is located within the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre complex, just a 20-minute drive from the international airport. This location is convenient for travellers in transit or those attending events at the exhibition center.

Major tourist attractions such as Ferrari World, the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and the Eastern Mangrove Boardwalk can be reached in 15-20 minutes by car.

Check-in is from 3:00 pm and check-out is at 12:00 pm. The hotel offers a digital check-in and mobile key service to facilitate guests’ arrival.

Still in the hotel lobby, and as is the case in most Aloft hotels, you’ll find billiards and foosball.

The hotel offers 408 rooms in two standard categories: Aloft and Splash, which differ only in the views they offer.

Rooms are functional and comfortable, with free Wi-Fi. Some rooms include a kitchenette.

I like the colourful hues, typical of Aloft hotels. My room also had a sofa.

The bathroom is also very functional, in three parts: a sink (opposite the closet), toilet (with bidet) and, at the far end, a large shower.

Several dining options are available:

• Mai Café: Casual poolside café with a varied menu
• Relax@12 and Twelve: Rooftop bars-restaurants ideal for sunsets or a game of pool

Room service is available 24 hours a day.

The hotel is located close to the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, making it an ideal choice for business travellers attending events. All major tourist attractions are within easy reach by car.

The Aloft Abu Dhabi is an affordable and practical option for a short stay in Abu Dhabi, particularly suited to travellers in transit or attending events at the exhibition center. The atmosphere is relaxed and trendy, true to the DNA of the Aloft brand. The rooftop bar offers breathtaking views of the city, a real asset.

Although the service can sometimes be inconsistent and some details in the rooms could be improved, the hotel overall offers excellent value for money. It is a smart choice for travellers seeking comfortable accommodation without breaking the bank in Abu Dhabi.
