In 2021, Virgin Australia became a partner of the Aeroplan program, allowing members to earn and redeem Aeroplan points with the airline.

Virgin Australia has just announced that starting in June 2025, several of its international flights will be operated by Qatar Airways, making it possible to book award flights on the Qsuite.

Here are the routes and start dates. The following flights will be operated by Qatar Airways Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, featuring the famous Qsuite.

Numerous award flights are available in business class between Australia (Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney) and Doha. Here’s an example departing from Sydney on October 11, 2025. According to Aeroplan partners’ fixed fare structure, this 15-hour flight costs 110,000 Aeroplan points in business class.

Click on “Details” to check that this is the Boeing 777-300ER operated by Qatar Airways for Qsuite travel. However, this is not guaranteed, as not all Qatar Airways Boeing 777-300ER aircraft offer Qsuite. What’s more, seat selection is not possible via the Aeroplan/Air Canada website. The ideal solution is to use the Expertflyer tool and check the seat configuration for the flight in question. It should look something like this:

To find more availability, I recommend using an award flight search tool like Roame, which will make it easier to find more dates to travel aboard the Qsuite.
