New Aspire Lounge at Billy Bishop Airport in Toronto

Swissport will add another lounge to its portfolio in Canada, this time at Billy Bishop Airport in Toronto.

This is the fifth lounge Aspire lounge in Canada. You may have already had the chance to visit one of them:

• Calgary Airport Aspire Lounge International
• Calgary Airport Aspire Lounge Transborder
• Montreal Airport National Bank Lounge
• Ottawa International Airport Aspire Lounge

The design of the new lounge takes its inspiration from downtown Toronto to create a sophisticated and timeless setting featuring the work of Ontario artists. It promises a hot and cold buffet, a space adapted to business travelers as well as daily fresh bakery products (croissants, pastries and bread).

Billy Bishop Airport’s Aspire Lounge inclusions include:

• Food, snacks and beverages served in buffet style
• Soft drinks, coffee, tea and water
• Wine, beers and spirits
• Fast and unlimited Wi-Fi
• Comfortable seating
• Private meeting room
• Charging facilities
• Work stations
• Lockers
• Flight information

Access to the new lounge will be available by booking through the Executive Lounges website or simply by showing up on site when it opens.

We don’t know yet who will have the privilege of accessing the lounge, but partnerships with Priority Pass and Dragonpass would be very likely. If this is the case, holders of multiple credit cards associated with either one of these will be able to access the lounge for free with passes.

If our predictions hold true, the best credit cards to get would likely be the Platinum Card^® from American Express and the Business Platinum Card^® from American Express which offer unlimited access to Priority Pass lounges. For those who regularly use Billy Bishop Airport for business travel, the unlimited access to the lounge will be well worth it, not to mention the many other benefits that these cards provide.

If the lounge also partners with Dragonpass, it will be possible to access it as a holder of certain credit cards. For example, the CIBC Aventura^® Visa Infinite* Card and the BMO Ascend World Elite Mastercard both offer four free passes per year with Dragonpass. In addition, the annual fee is waived for the first year.

We do not yet know the exact opening date of this new Aspire lounge and whether it will be added to the Dragonpass and Priority Pass collections.
