When you stay at Hyatt hotels, you’ll earn 5 Hyatt points per dollar (before taxes) on room charges and most other charges during your stay (excluding alcohol).

In addition, members with Hyatt status can earn 10% to 30% bonus points.

In the United States, World of Hyatt offers a credit card in partnership with Chase: World of Hyatt Credit Card.

With this credit card, you can earn up to 50,000 points as a welcome bonus. Here are the different characteristics:

• 4 points per dollar for spending at Hyatt properties
• 2 points per dollar for restaurants, airfare, local transportation and sports memberships
• One certificate for a free night upon account renewal (category 1-4)
• A second certificate for a free night after spending $15,000 during the year
• Discoverist status
• 5 Elite Nights per year
• The opportunity to earn 2 Elite Nights for every $5,000 in purchases
• Annual fee of US$95

You can transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards points to World of Hyatt (provided you have an Ultimate Rewards Premium card).

The transfer is made at a ratio of 1,000:1,000.

A Hyatt member may transfer points to another member free of charge once every 30 days.

To do so, you must fill in the form on this page and send it to worldofhyatt@hyatt.com.

You can purchase up to 55,000 Hyatt points per year for a standard cost of 2.4 cents per point.

However, there are regular promotions to buy Hyatt points with a 20% to 30% bonus, which helps reduce the cost of purchase.

During 2021, World of Hyatt will launch point redemption in both low and high seasons, moving from a fixed to a variable rate schedule.

You can use World of Hyatt’s Points + Cash option to save 50% of the points required for a free night and 50-70% off the standard rate.

You can convert your World of Hyatt points into airline miles: 5,000 points = 2,000 miles.

World of Hyatt is partnered with Avis. For 6,000 points per day, get a free mid-size car for the day.

There are three levels of Elite World of Hyatt status:

• Discoverist
• Explorist
• Globalist

And beyond the statuses, there are Milestone rewards.

Status-qualifying nights are most nights paid for with cash or points. Once earned, World of Hyatt status is valid for 2 calendar years (until the end of February).

Thus, if you reach a status in March 2021, it will be valid until the end of February 2023.

Hyatt Discoverist status offers the following benefits:

• 10% bonus on eligible purchases
• Upgrade to a preferred room (same room type reserved)
• Late check-out at 2 pm
• Free bottled water

To achieve Hyatt Discoverist status, you must meet one of these qualification criteria:

• 10 nights
• 25,000 basis points

Hyatt Explorist status offers the following benefits:
