Get Hilton Honors Diamond Elite Status after only 9 nights!

I detailed in this post the entire process to request a status challenge for Hilton Honors Gold or Diamond, and the Elite Status benefits.

Usually, when requesting for a status challenge, you must stay:

  • 10 nights within 90 days to get Hilton Honors Gold Elite Status
  • 18 nights within 90 days to get Hilton Honors Diamond Elite Status

However, between September 8, 2020 and December 31, 2020, Hilton Honors will run a new Double Rewardspromotion, and some details leaked on the Hilton Honors website. This promotion comes after the current one Points Unlimited.

During this new promotion, you will be able to get, for each stay:

  • double bonus points
  • double elite nights

So, as the blog You Have Been Upgradehas noticed, by combining Hilton Honors Statuts challenge and this new promotion, the criteria for obtaining Gold and Diamond Elite status are halved:

  • 5 nights within 90 days to get Hilton Honors Gold Elite Status
  • 9 nights within 90 days to get Hilton Honors Diamond Elite Status

And this status will be valid until March 31, 2022!

Beware though: you can only apply to a status challenge once in your Hilton Honors member’s life. So, think twice!

Conclusion

If you don’t have an Hilton Honors account yet, register today. And prepare the documents to apply for the status challenge: for example, proof of holding a Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite Status AND a stay in a Marriott Bonvoy hotel in the last 12 months!

Alternatively, if you’ve started with the US credit card journey, you can get Hilton Honors Diamond Elite status with the Hilton Honors American Express Aspire Card.

As long as you are a Cardmember, you will benefit from:

  • Hilton Honors Diamond Elite Status
  • Annual Free Weekend Night Reward
  • $250 Annual Hilton Resort Credit
  • $250 Annual Airline Fee Credit (Alaska, American, Delta, Frontier, Hawaiian, JetBlue, Southwest, Spirit, United)
  • Complimentary Priority Pass Membership for unlimited access to airport lounges for you and 2 guests

This is a card that I have personally owned for a year and does not intend to cancel given all the related profits!
