Here is some information about the hotel:
Within a 15-minute walk of Delta Hotels Orlando Lake Buena Vista, you’ll find:
Disney Springs is a safe 25-minute walk along Hotel Plaza Boulevard.
When I arrived, the agent at reception kindly explained everything I needed to know about the hotel.
I didn’t really get an upgrade, but my room was on the upper floors.
The room was typical, with a king-size bed, corner armchair, work desk, desk with drawer and flat-screen TV.
At the entrance was a wardrobe and a buffet-style cabinet with coffee pot and ice bucket. There was also a mini-refrigerator.
The bathroom was small, with shower, vanity with sink and toilet.
The view from the room overlooked the hotel’s large swimming pool. The aquatic mural made you forget the boulevard and the adjacent commercial building.
D-Flats is a bar-restaurant open from 4pm to 11pm. Its menu is basic, but can be satisfying for someone who doesn’t want to break the bank.
Peet’s Coffee is open from 7 am to 11 am. It offers mainly omelettes, pancakes and breakfast sandwiches at acceptable prices.
For breakfast, another easy option is Community Table. It’s a buffet open between 7 a.m. and 11 a.m., with everything you need to start your day in a theme park.
It costs :
In the beautifully landscaped courtyard, the pool is large, with a few tents for protection from the sun. A small spa is also available.
Everything is open between 7am and 10pm.
Elite Platinum, Titanium and Ambassador members have access to a lounge at Delta Hotels Orlando Lake Buena Vista. It is located on the 2nd floor and is open 24 hours a day.
In fact, this lounge is unlike any other at MarriottBonvoy. It’s more like a Delta Elite Pantry.
There’s no place to sit and the space is pretty basic with quick snacks, some fruit, instant oatmeal packets, packaged pastries, toaster bagels, yogurt, drinks (water, milk, soft drinks), ice cream cups andpopsicles.
The member can therefore take what he wants and eat it outside or in his room.
While this “lounge” is a good convenience store, the execution would be much better if that pantry were stocked more regularly and the coffee maker wasn’t broken.
The fitness room is small, with a mirror in the back to make the room seem larger.
She has a few machines and weights.
A guest laundry room is available.
The washer costs USD 1.50 and the dryer USD 2. Laundry soap and fabric softener sheets can be purchased from the vending machine at a cost of 1.25 USD.
Everything works with American quarters only, and you can change the change at reception.
There’s a convenience store next to reception, for a snack or to buy personal items.
As a Good Neighbor Hotel, Delta Hotels Orlando Lake Buena Vista has a Disney counter. They help you plan your vacation in the parks, book your tickets and take reservations for the free shuttles to the parks.
It is open from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. You must reserve a shuttle at the counter at least 30 minutes in advance, then be at the stop 5 to 10 minutes before the shuttle departs.
Here is the shuttle departure schedule from the hotel:
And the one for the return:
If you want to go to Magic Kingdom or Animal Kingdom, you have to go to Disney Hollywood Studios or Epcot, then take the monorail or bus between the parks.
Then, for $5 per person, shuttles are available from the hotel to Universal Studios and Seaworld.
Delta Hotels Orlando Lake Buena Vista is a decent and affordable accommodation, very close to Disney Springs and with quick access to the Disney parks.
It does offer some good options, but they are limited (such as the minimal shuttle offer) or for the “lounge/dining area” (which is often bare). So don’t expect too much.
