First, for the points hunters that we are, let’s get our shopping list ready in November. This is in view of the numerous promotions that will appear on theAIR MILES and AÉROPLAN portals during Black Friday and Cyber Monday . These two events will take place on November 24 and 27, 2023 respectively.

So let’s get ready to receive the points and miles generated by multipliers on these most lucrative days of the year. And make sure, with a list, you don’t create needs.

Rent a cottage or a yurt

Didn’t manage to book a cottage, rustic camp or yurt in SEPAQ’s parks last summer? Never mind, there are places available in November. Get off the beaten track, wear the right clothes for the season and spend a weekend in Oka, Bic, Yamaska, Monts-Vallins or Mont Mégantic national parks, to name but a few.

The booking calendar shows which sites are closed for the season, which ones are already booked and which ones are available.

If you’d like to take your adventure a step further, there’s this eco-responsible floating hotel in the bay of Lac St-François. A recycled container with solar panels, heated floors and a private terrace with a gas fireplace. Are you interested?

It’s time for culinary exploration with the 11th edition of MTLàTABLEtaking place in Montreal from November 3 to 19, 2023. American Express credit card holders had the chance to book a table in advance.

Picking popcorn

A lesser-known activity (in fact, I had no idea it existed) is popcorn picking, which will take place until November 19, 2023 on weekends at the Quinn farm in Notre-Dame-de-l’Île-Perrot, 20 minutes from Montreal.

This farm also offers photo sessions in the Christmas tree plantation, starting November 24, 2023, and tours of the animal barn. Reservations required.

Stroll through the city's exhibitions

In Montreal, Notre-Dame de Paris, l’Exposition Augmentéewill be in the spotlight from November 3, 2023. An opportunity to delve into the history of the famous cathedral, which is currently being renovated. Equipped with HistoPad tablets, visitors are invited to scan the “21 Portes du Temps” at the Arsenal contemporary art center.

In Quebec City, the Centre de foires will host the Salon national de la femme on November 18 and 19, 2023. On the menu: fashion shows, beauty tips, cooking demonstrations and travel ideas.

Take part in an adventure game

Here’s an original way to take a breath of fresh air with family and friends with Le Link, adventure games .

In Quebec City, from November 16 to 19, 2023, the First Nations Book Fair will feature shows, poetry lunches, youth activities and more. A great opportunity to deepen our knowledge and forge links with these communities.

Enjoy the film festivals

When the weather’s grey and chilly, what better way to enjoy a good film than in a cinema?

Described as a highly sympathetic event, theFestival du cinéma international en Abitibi-Témiscamingue runs from October 28 to November 2, 2023. You’ll be able to view nearly a hundred cinematographic works, including 63 short and medium-length films, 19 feature films and two short series, from 21 countries.

Montreal will follow suit with its CINEMANIAfrom November 1 to 12, 2023. Founded in 1995, it brings together some sixty feature-length fiction films each year, as well as documentaries and shorts. You can see these works in several theaters, including Cinéma Impérial and Espace Saint-Denis.

Get together with friends or family to learn how to make bagels, cocktails, tapas or a world cuisine meal.

Do you prefer having the chef at home? Transform yourself into a sommelier for a day, or opt for a family pastry class? Workshops lasting 3 to 6 hours, either face-to-face or online, cost between $50 and $250.

Fun at the Toy Parade

TheToy Parade will be back! The 22nd edition will take place on the afternoon of November 11, 2023, starting at 2:30 p.m. in the streets of Charlesbourg. The event kicks off Quebec City‘s holiday festivities.

Thousands of children are expected to see Santa Claus and his elves. As part of the parade, food and toy donations will be collected and distributed to many local families.

Where to go walking in Quebec?

Among the destinations not to be missed, let yourself be seduced by the charm of Old Quebec. The Château Frontenac, atop Cap Diamant, is the neighborhood’s landmark. The Dufferin Terrace offers a breathtaking view of the St. Lawrence River.
