Air Canada : correspondances entre l’avion et le train
To the point Air Canada now offers rail connections from several European airports and Seoul.

Air Canada’s intermodal offer in Europe enables travellers to purchase rail or coach travel when booking flights from airports in Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland and the UK.

In addition, Air Canada is launching the first air-train connections in Asia with an agreement with the South Korean rail company, KORAIL.

Here are the details:

  • Germany: with Lufthansa Express Rail, customers have access to 24 stations from Frankfurt airport, via the Deutsche Bahn (DB) rail network, Star Alliance’s intermodal partner;
  • Austria: with the services of Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB), customers have access to nine train stations from Vienna airport;
  • South Korea: travellers arriving at Incheon airport can now reach Seoul station via the AREX Express service to access KORAIL’s KTX trains to eight destinations;
  • Spain: with Renfe, travellers can connect directly from the airport to 24 destinations via the AVE high-speed, classic, and regional train network;
  • France: with SNCF Voyageurs, customers can connect between Paris-Charles-de-Gaulle airport and 22 destinations;
  • Great Britain: customers have access to the services of four rail companies (LNER, Avanti West Coast, Great Western Railway and TransPennine Express) to reach 32 destinations, as well as coach connections with National Express from London Heathrow airport to 28 cities;
  • Italy: Trenitalia offers regional, night, international, and high-speed train services to 30 destinations;
  • Switzerland: customers travelling to Zurich or Geneva can opt for a rail connection at the airport to up to 11 Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) stations;

Air Canada has clarified that in the event of flight disruption, customers will have the opportunity to rebook their air and rail travel.

Book a Trip and Add Your Train Journey

Here’s how to book your trip:

  • Book your entire trip on the Air Canada website and pay just one fare;
  • Select your starting point and destination. You may be offered flight + train itineraries matching your search criteria; click on the “Book Rail & Fly” option to include the train in your fare.

  • Your booking confirmation will indicate air and rail segments.

Here’s how to register your train journey:

  • Go to the AccesRail registration page within 72 hours of departure;
  • Enter your name and reservation or ticket number;
  • Print out your train tickets and present them on board the train.

Please note that you will need to collect your luggage and take it with you to the station.
