Last month, my family and I visited California and decided to break up the trip by spending one night in Vancouver each way. We stayed at the Sheraton Vancouver Airport for our first night, and for our return journey, we chose the Four Points by Sheraton Vancouver Airport.
Check out the Visit Richmond tourist office page; there are often promotions to earn gift cards for the first night in some select hotels.
The Four Points by Sheraton Vancouver Airport is located about 10 minutes from YVR International Airport, and many restaurants surround the hotel, which is perfect if you want to head out for a nice meal.
The hotel also offers a complimentary shuttle service from the departures level, but you have to call them upon arrival. We were disappointed about their efficiency as we had to wait around 40 minutes for it to come. While we were waiting, the shuttle for the other Marriott airport hotels passed by several times.
However, the Four Points by Sheraton Vancouver Airport is ideal for this stay when you have a long connection in Vancouver. You can rest here while the Canada Line brings you downtown in 35 minutes (Lansdowne station is a 10-minute walk from the hotel).
I booked our room on the same day and paid cash because a points redemption wouldn’t give me a reasonable valuation, and I wanted to benefit from the current bonus night promotion.
Additionally, by paying with my Marriott Bonvoy® American Express®* Card, I earned 5X the points on our booking at the Four Points by Sheraton Vancouver Airport.
As for check-in, I could complete the whole process on my Marriott App and get a mobile key, so we just headed to our room upon arrival without talking to anyone.

We booked a standard Traditional Guest room with two double beds and requested a crib for our one-year-old. We were happy everything was set before we arrived at the Four Points by Sheraton Vancouver Airport.
The room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The beds were comfortable, and I appreciated the soft pillows. The room also had a flat-screen TV (although not a smart TV), a mini-fridge, a kettle and a coffee maker, all convenient amenities.
We found a safe, iron, and ironing board in the closet.
The bathroom was very modern, and all the amenities were there, although it only had a shower, despite my booking a room with both a bathtub and a shower for our child.
The Four Points by Sheraton Vancouver Airport has a Fitness Center on the ground floor of the hotel with the usual machines and weights you can access 24/7.
Additionally, there’s a small pantry next to reception in case you wish to have a little snack or drink, as the fridge is empty in the rooms. A coffee machine is also at the guest’s disposal, along with an ample living space.
Next to the reception, you can find the hotel bar and restaurant. This is also where breakfast is served. It’s an à la carte menu with various options. Since we only have Silver Elite status, we didn’t benefit from complimentary breakfast.
Instead, we went to McDonald’s, located three minutes away on foot. It was a better choice for our family as we were looking for comforting and inexpensive food, and we got away with $16 for the three of us.
Overall, our experience at the Four Points by Sheraton Vancouver Airport was a good one: it served its purpose of being an affordable place where we could stay before returning home. Also, depending on the points rate, it can also be an excellent use of your free annual night award.
While we were slightly disappointed with the shuttle service, the location and price of the hotel made up for it, and we would consider staying here again in the future.
