In the coming year, Avion Rewards and More Rewards will be teaming up to provide more savings opportunities for their members.

More Rewards is the loyalty program of the Pattison Food Group, which includes Save-On-Foods, Buy-Low Foods, Quality Foods, Urban Fare, PriceSmart Foods, Nesters Market and Quality Foods. Other partners include Panago Pizza, Speedy Glass, Coast Hotels and they are located in Western Canada.

More Rewards points can be used for grocery discounts, gift cards and travel discounts, among other things.

Avion Rewards is Royal Bank’s loyalty program. Avion Rewards points are earned on a variety of RBC credit and debit cards. Points are then used to purchase travel and gift cards, and to transfer them to other airline programs.

No details were given of the exact nature of the partnership. According to the press release:

More Rewards and RBC Avion Rewards members can enjoy exceptional savings on food and everyday products, as well as the enhanced value and benefits offered by the Avion Rewards and More Rewards loyalty programs.

So you could imagine that an RBC credit or debit card that earns Avion Rewards points could be linked to your More Rewards member profile, to earn more points or benefits.

Bottom Line

Right now, More Rewards has a similar partnership with CIBC, but it ends on July 31, 2024.

More information on the RBC/More Rewards partnership will be announced after this date. We’ll update this article as soon as both programs reveal more.
