Rules for the Milesopedia 10th Anniversary Quiz (2025)

1. SUBJECT
   1. The Milesopedia 10th Anniversary Quiz (2025) (hereinafter referred to as the “Quiz”) is organized by Les Services Milesopedia Inc. (hereinafter referred to as the “Organizer”). This fun quiz was designed primarily as a gesture of appreciation towards our loyal community. Beyond the prizes to be won, this quiz is our way of saying thank you to all those who have contributed to making Milesopedia the leading French-language resource for rewards programs.
2. PRIZE
   1. Two (2) gift cardsx of $100 each, of your choice.
3. PERIOD
   1. The Quiz will run from August 23, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. ET until August 29 at 11:59 p.m. ET (hereinafter the “Period”).
4. HOW TO PARTICIPATE
   1. To participate in the Quiz and, by extension, the gift card contest, eligible Participants must properly complete the Form (first name, last name, and email address) and answer during the Quiz Period.
   2. The Quiz is open to all residents of Canada who have reached the age of majority in their province or territory of residence at the time of the Period (hereinafter referred to as “eligible Participants”).
   3. Employees of Milesopedia, as well as immediate family members (parents, children, siblings, and spouse, regardless of their place of residence) of these employees are not eligible for the Quiz (the “ineligible Participants”).
   4. This Quiz is in no way associated with, endorsed, or managed by Meta (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp), TikTok, or LinkedIn (each a “Social Platform”). By participating in this Quiz, the Participant:
      1. Fully releases each of the Social Platforms from any and all liability.
      2. Acknowledge that you are providing information to the Organizer and not to the Social Platforms.
      3. Will direct any questions, comments, or complaints regarding the Quiz to the Organizer and not to the relevant Social Platform.
   5. The two (2) $100 gift cards may be awarded to any Participant who fully completes the Quiz.
5. PARTICIPATION MANAGEMENT TOOL
   1. Single access point: Although several communication tools are used for the Quiz, Participants are directed to a single location to register.
   2. No purchase necessary: To participate, individuals must follow the instructions posted on the Organizer’s social media platforms and/or website, which will redirect them to the entry form (the “Form”).
   3. Registration: the Form, as detailed in Article 6, will be accessible throughout the Period on our page Events & Contests and the linked article published on the opening day of the Quiz.
6. WINNER SELECTION
   1. A draw will be held among all eligible Entries on September 2, 2025, among the eligible Participants (1 chance per eligible Participant).
7. WINNER’S CONTACT
   1. The Winner will be contacted the same day by e-mail and asked to sign a disclosure consent form (name and photo).
   2. The Participant authorizes Milesopedia to contact them and acknowledges that they may unsubscribe from these communications at any time.
   3. To be declared the winner, the contacted Participant must respond to the Organizer’s communications within 48 hours.
   4. The Winner is subject to verification, including confirmation of their age and residency.
8. DISQUALIFICATION
   1. Failure to comply with each of the conditions set out in Article 9 will result in the selected Participant being disqualified and ineligible to receive a Prize.
   2. In this case, the Organizer reserves the right, at its sole and absolute discretion, to conduct another draw among all eligible Entries.
9. PRIZE CLAIM
   1. Ineligibility
      1. If the winner is ineligible, does not respond within 48 hours after notification, or refuses the Prize, the Organizer will draw another winner from the eligible Participants in accordance with the provisions set out in Article 11.2.
   2. Prize Acceptance
      1. The Prize must be accepted as described in these rules and cannot be returned, transferred to another person or substituted for another Prize, nor exchanged in whole or in part for cash.
      2. The Prize must be accepted as awarded.
      3. The Participant understands that the Contest is entirely administered by the Organizer (Milesopedia).
      4. The Organizer is not responsible for any fees, taxes, or other expenses related to the use of the Prize, which are the responsibility of the Winner.
   3. Prize Substitution
      1. The Organizer reserves the right, at its sole discretion and for any reason, to substitute a Prize or any part of it with a prize of equal or greater value, including, but not limited to, the cash value of the Prize.
10. PRIZE COLLECTION
    1. Upon receiving the selected Participant’s contact information, the Organizer will send the winner an email outlining the procedures for claiming their Prize.
    2. The Organizer commits to crediting the Prize to the Winner’s account within 10 days of the winner announcement.
    3. The Prize reservation will be confirmed within 10 days once the winner has met the requirements outlined herein.
11. ADVERTISING
    1. By participating in this Quiz, the eligible Participant agrees to receive emails regarding the Quiz from the Organizer.
    2. The Participant authorizes the Organizer and its advertising and promotional agency to broadcast, publish, and otherwise use the information provided through the Quiz form for advertising purposes, without any form of compensation.
12. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY
    1. Milesopedia is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete or misdirected entries, or for technical failures.
13. LEGAL NOTICE
    1. The Organizer reserves the right to cancel, suspend or modify the Quiz, or any part thereof, in the event that fraudulent activity, technical failure, human error or any other factor compromises the integrity or proper conduct of the Quiz, as determined by the Organizer in its sole discretion.
    2. The Organizer reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who attempts to improperly influence the entry process or the conduct of the Quiz, who does not comply with the official rules, or who acts in a dishonest or disruptive manner.
       1. Any attempt by an individual to improperly influence the proper conduct of the Quiz constitutes an offence under the Criminal Code and Civil Code.
       2. The Organizer reserves the right to take legal action against any individual who attempts to improperly influence the proper conduct of the Quiz, to the fullest extent permitted by law, in order to seek compensation.
14. PRIVACY
    1. By participating in this Quiz, each eligible Participant consents to the collection, use, and disclosure of their personal information by the Organizer for the purpose of conducting and announcing the Quiz or for any other purpose to which they consent. Once submitted, Entries become the exclusive property of the Organizer and will not be returned. Personal information will be used to verify the eligibility of Participants for the Quiz.
    2. Personal information may be used and communicated to third parties retained by the Organizer for purposes of warehousing, market research, Quiz management, or other similar services, subject to applicable privacy laws and the Organizer’s internal policy to that effect. This information may be used by the company (i) for the proper administration and completion of the Quiz; (ii) to send newsletters to Participants regarding the company’s events, financial products and services.
