Alaska Airlines’ frequent flyer program is called the Mileage Plan. This company is part of the large One World airline alliance. It also has partnerships with some major American and international airlines.
Earning points
Each air mile flown is worth one Alaska mile, even in the basic fare classes.
It is also possible to earn points from this airline with :

- transfers from Marriott points at 3:1 ratio
Redeeming points
Mileage Plan points are used to :
- buy award airline tickets from 5,000 points to over 1,000 destinations,
- to find a place to stay among more than 400,000 choices of accommodation,
- to obtain first-class upgrades,
- and many other benefits.
The status
The company has four statuses: MVP, MVP Gold, MVP Gold 75K and 100K. There is no spending requirement, but a level of miles and segments earned on Alaska Airlines or partner flights.
The benefits are pretty classic, and some are also open to partners, such as a discount on the seat selection price or the baggage allowance.
