Before the event, browse the offers, add products to your wish lists, and activate your notifications. Products are available in limited quantities: it’s best to be organized to make successful purchases.
This year, Amazon is highlighting several sections in Canada:
My tip: when searching, choose the category you are interested in, then sort products by discount, from highest to lowest. This way, you can spot the best deals in seconds.
Prime Day is the perfect time to make your home smart. Amazon significantly reduces the price of its home products with Alexa. Here are some products often featured, to watch out for during the event:
Unsurprisingly, electronic devices and accessories are among the most sought-after during Prime Day. Products to keep an eye on:
For the occasion, Amazon regularly offers an extended free trial of Amazon Music Unlimited for Prime members. The offer targets the individual plan. At the end of the trial, the subscription automatically renews at the current rate.

Preparation makes all the difference. The best deals go fast and stocks are limited. Here’s my list to be ready on June 23:
Prime Day is not just about the discount displayed by Amazon. Here’s how I stack savings on every purchase:
Amazon Prime Day is an exclusive sales event reserved for Amazon Prime members. Launched in 2015, it has become one of the biggest online shopping events, alongside Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Amazon offers significant discounts on a wide range of products for a short period.
The event has long taken place in July, sometimes with a second edition in the fall. In 2026, Prime Day runs from June 23 to 26. In addition to product discounts, Amazon.ca often offers deals on its services like Prime Video, Prime Music, and Prime Reading.
The Amazon Prime service is billed at $9.99 per month or $99 per year (which is $8.25 per month). You can enjoy a 30-day free trial via this link. If you have been a subscriber in the past, a different offer may be displayed.
Students benefit from more advantageous pricing, with a half-price subscription at $4.99 per month, and enjoy a 6-month free trial.
You must be a Prime member to access Prime Day offers. To learn all about the subscription, consult our complete guide to Amazon Prime.
Amazon partners with two financial institutions: American Express and TD. You can redeem American Express Membership Rewards points (1,000 Membership Rewards points = $7) or your TD Rewards points (1,000 points = $3.33) on Amazon.ca.
My advice: normally, it is more advantageous to use your points once the purchase is posted to your American Express card. As with any purchase, you then apply your points as a statement credit at a rate of 1,000 Membership Rewards points = $10, which is much more than the $7 offered directly on Amazon.

Before filling your cart, visit the Aeroplan portal: you accumulate Aeroplan points on your Amazon purchases by going through the Aeroplan eStore.
You can thus accumulate during Prime Day:
No specific purchase to make during Prime Day? The Amazon gift card is another option: with no fees or expiration date, you save points by going through the Aeroplan eStore.
My tip: buy your Amazon gift cards at the grocery store (IGA, Sobeys, Metro, Super C) with the National Bank World Elite Mastercard or the Scotiabank Gold American Express® Card. You get 5 points per dollar on this purchase, equivalent to 5%. At IGA and Sobeys with the Scotiabank Gold American Express® Card, you even get up to 6 points per dollar.
Also go through an online shopping portal like Rakuten to accumulate additional points and cash back. Not yet registered with Rakuten? Get a $30 credit via our referral link:
If you accumulate AIR MILES, the Airmilesshops.ca portal offers bonus miles for your Amazon purchases. Note the eligible categories: only those displayed will give you miles.
Amazon Prime Day is an excellent way to save on everyday products as well as your travel accessories. Good organization allows you to fully enjoy it, while waiting for Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
Save this article: it will be updated with the best deals as soon as the event opens on June 23.
