Shoppers Drug Mart is running its Super PC Optimum Redemption Event from September 4 to 9, 2026. Over these six days, your points are worth up to $18.75 per 10,000 instead of $10, for a maximum discount of $1,500 on a single transaction.
Outside promotions, the rule is simple: 10,000 PC Optimum points give you $10 off. During the event, eight bonus tiers open up, and the most generous one lifts the value of your points by 87.5%. The offer applies in store and online, at Shoppers Drug Mart across Canada and at Pharmaprix in Quebec.

Each tier combines two conditions: a number of points to redeem and a minimum amount to spend. Meet both and you get the full discount advertised. Here is the complete grid:
Your bill has to reach the discount amount you are aiming for. To collect $900 off at tier 6, you need a basket of at least $900 before tax, and 500,000 points in your account. The two conditions work together.
If your basket falls short, the system automatically drops to the lower tier that matches your actual spending. You do not lose your redemption, but you do lose the bonus value of the tier you were aiming for.
Here is what the gain looks like on an everyday basket. With 50,000 points and $75 in purchases, you cover the bill in full. Outside the promotion, those same points would have given $50 off. The bonus is therefore worth $25, or 50% more, on ordinary drugstore shopping.
That is where the trade-off sits. Higher tiers pay more per point, but they require a bill to match: $1,500 in a single transaction for tier 8. Few people spend that much at a drugstore in one go. The right tier is the one whose threshold you can reach without buying things you do not need.
Watch the opposite excess too: redeeming more points than the tier requires forfeits part of the redemption value, with no additional points granted in return.
