1 Offer description and conditions: The 25,000 Scene+ points offer (the « offer ») applies only to new Scotiabank Passport Visa Infinite +* Card credit card accounts (the « accounts ») opened between August 4, 2026 and November 1, 2026 (regardless of the date you apply for the account) subject to the conditions below. The offer may be modified, cancelled or extended at any time without notice, and it cannot be combined with any other offer.
In addition, as a Scotiabank Passport Visa Infinite +* Cardholder, you are eligible for an annual bonus of 10,000 Scene+ points if you charge at least $40,000 in eligible everyday purchases to your Scotiabank Passport Visa Infinite +* Card account over the course of one year. Conditions apply; see below for more details.
Description and conditions of the 25,000 bonus Scene+ points offer: To be eligible for the 25,000 bonus Scene+ points offer (« 25,000 bonus points »), you must charge at least $2,000 in total eligible purchases to your account within the first three months following the account opening date.
Conditions for the annual 10,000 Scene+ points bonus: As a Scotiabank Passport Visa Infinite +* Card credit cardholder, you can earn an annual bonus of at least 10,000 Scene+ points (the « annual points bonus ») if you charge at least $40,000 in eligible purchases to your account over the course of one year (12-month period). The annual period begins on the account opening date; a new period starts again every twelve months thereafter. If you replace another Scene+-eligible credit card with the Scotiabank Passport Visa Infinite +* Card (i.e., it is not a new card or an additional card), the opening date of your original account will be carried over to your new Scotiabank Passport Visa Infinite +* Card account and your annual period under this offer will begin on the next anniversary date of your original account opening. For example, if you originally opened a Scotiabank Gold American Express® Card account on January 15, 2022 and you switch to the Scotiabank Passport Visa Infinite +* Card on July 15, 2025, your annual period under the 10,000 Scene+ points annual bonus offer will begin on January 15, 2026 (your next anniversary date) and a new period will start again on January 15 each year thereafter. You will earn 2,000 bonus Scene+ points for each additional $10,000 in purchases made during the same year once you have reached the $40,000 annual purchase threshold.
Eligible purchases means purchases, less refunds, returns and any other similar credits, and excludes payments, cash advances (including balance transfers and quasi-cash transactions), interest charges, as well as card fees and other fees.
Fulfillment of the annual points bonus: Bonus points will be credited within approximately eight weeks after you become eligible for a bonus, provided the account is open and in good standing. In the case of a joint account with a primary borrower and a co-borrower, bonus points will be credited as follows: (i) the 25,000 bonus points and the annual points bonus will be credited to the Scene+ account linked to the account of the borrower who made the transaction that reached the eligible purchase threshold ($2,000, or $40,000) within the appropriate timeframe (the first three months, or the first 12 months). If an additional cardholder makes the transaction that reaches the eligible purchase threshold for the 25,000 bonus points, or the annual points bonus, the bonus points will be credited to the Scene+ account linked to the primary borrower’s account. It is possible to transfer points between the Scene+ accounts of a primary borrower, a co-borrower or an additional cardholder by contacting Scene+. An account is in good standing if it is not past due, there is no over-limit, and the cardholder(s) have complied with the terms of the Revolving Credit Agreement that applies to the account. All other program conditions continue to apply during the offer period.
Offer eligibility and exclusions: You cannot take advantage of the offer if you are currently a primary or secondary cardholder of a Scotiabank personal credit card or have been one in the past two years, including if you transfer your balance from an existing Scotiabank personal credit card account, and if you are a Scotiabank employee. Subject to the exclusions mentioned above, small business credit cardholders are eligible for this offer.
Rates and fees: The annual fees are $150 for the primary card, $0 for the first additional card and $50 for each additional card thereafter (including those issued to joint account holders and additional cardholders). The preferred annual interest rates applicable to the account are as follows: 20.99% on purchases and 22.99% on cash advances (including balance transfers and quasi-cash transactions). The rates, fees, and features and benefits, which are described in the disclosure statement accompanying the application, may be changed.

How to get there
Dallas
Dallas is served by two main airports: Dallas-Fort Worth International (DFW) and Love Field.
Depending on your origin, particularly from Canada, DFW Airport is generally preferred for international or transborder flights, thanks to its extensive network of connections and numerous transfers.
Once there, the DART public transport network (trains and buses) allows for efficient travel within the city, particularly between the airport, downtown, and areas like Fair Park.
Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW):
Train / Rail: DART Rail connects certain downtown stations to DFW via the Trinity Railway Express service and DART lines.
Bus: Local and express lines serve the airport from downtown.
Taxi / Ride-sharing: Taxis, Uber, and Lyft are available outside the terminal. The trip to downtown takes approximately 25 to 35 minutes depending on traffic and costs approximately 40 to 55 USD.
Houston
Houston is primarily served by George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH), the city’s largest and a major international hub. William P. Hobby (HOU), a smaller airport, mainly handles domestic flights and offers easy access by taxi, Uber/Lyft, or public transport.
From IAH, bus line 500 connects directly to downtown, an economical and convenient option to reach your accommodation.
Houston – George Bush Intercontinental (IAH):
Bus: METRO Bus 5/40/102 offers direct service to downtown.
Express Bus: Bus lines serve the airport and are economical, but slower depending on traffic.
Taxi / Ride-sharing: Taxis, Uber, and Lyft are available outside the terminals. The trip to downtown takes approximately 25 to 35 minutes and costs between 35 and 50 USD.
Maximize Your Flights with Loyalty Programs
Aeroplan (Air Canada): The Aeroplan program allows you to redeem your points for flights to Dallas (DFW) or Houston (IAH) on Air Canada or its Star Alliance partners. Pricing varies by zone and distance traveled, and you can combine points plus cash to reduce the cost of your ticket. Fixed fees apply for certain award tickets operated by partners.
VIPorter (Porter Airlines): With VIPorter, you earn points on your flights, baggage, and seats. The number of points required for a flight to Dallas or Houston depends on the ticket price. You can pay entirely with points or combine points and cash, and use your balance to book any Porter flight, with no blackout dates or destination restrictions.
WestJet Rewards: The WestJet Rewards program allows you to earn points on your flights, vacation packages, car rentals, and upgrades. Depending on your status (Teal, Silver, Gold, or Platinum), you earn 1 to 8 WestJet points per dollar spent. You can then use your points to pay for your flights to Dallas or Houston, vacation packages, and get additional benefits, such as lounge access and free baggage.
Scene+: The Scene+ program offers great flexibility: you can redeem for a flight to Dallas or Houston with any airline or book directly through Scene+ Travel. Every 1,000 points = $10 applied to your travel expenses, whether for a flight, a hotel, or a car rental.
With the Scotiabank Passport Visa Infinite +* Card, you earn up to 4 Scene+ points per dollar spent on Expedia bookings for Scene+, no foreign currency conversion fees, and six complimentary airport lounge visits per year.
To concretely illustrate the value of points, here is an example of a flight search with Aeroplan. A one-way flight between Montreal (YUL) and Dallas (DFW) on June 19 costs 12,500 Aeroplan points, plus $172 in fees and taxes. The return flight between Dallas (DFW) and Montreal (YUL) on June 26, meanwhile, requires 30,200 points, in addition to $94 in fees and taxes.
On the other hand, Scene+ points work differently and offer even more flexibility. Let’s take a concrete example: a Montreal (YUL) – Dallas (DFW) flight on June 19 with Air Canada costs $637. By paying for this ticket with the Scotiabank Passport Visa Infinite +* Card, it is then possible to fully reimburse it with 63,700 Scene+ points, based on the redemption of 10,000 points = $100.
Access to Airport Lounges
The Scotia Passport Visa Infinite + Card offers exclusive benefits for frequent travellers. By enrolling in the Visa Airport Companion program, you gain access to over 1,200 airport lounges worldwide, including six complimentary visits per year.
At Dallas-Fort Worth International (DFW) and George Bush Intercontinental (IAH), you can access partner lounges, such as Plaza Premium Lounge, offering amenities such as meals, beverages, showers, and comfortable workspaces.
In addition to lounge benefits, you can redeem your points for travel to Dallas, Houston, or any other destination, without restrictions. Book your next getaway through Scene+ Travel, Scotiabank’s dedicated travel agency, to maximize your points and benefit from preferential rates.
Rental Cars
Renting a car in Dallas or Houston can quickly become expensive, especially if you want to explore the surrounding area at your own pace. Fortunately, there is a simple solution to reduce your costs: use the points accumulated through your credit cards.
All major Canadian loyalty programs allow you to earn points redeemable for car rentals, offering not only savings but also additional benefits, such as insurance or status-related privileges.
Scotiabank’s Scene+ program is particularly convenient for car rentals. You can redeem your points directly to reduce the cost of your rental: 1,000 points = $10.
Complimentary upgrades: access a higher category subject to availability for enhanced comfort.
Dedicated customer service: an exclusive phone line for your bookings and any assistance.
Advantageous discounts: save 5% to 25% on eligible retail rates in Canada and the United States.
By combining your Scene+ points with these benefits, car rental becomes not only more affordable, but also more convenient and enjoyable for exploring Dallas, Houston, and their surroundings.
Best Accommodations: Where to Stay for Every Budget
Airbnb
Airbnb is an official partner of the FIFA World Cup 2026 and will offer accommodations in all host cities, including Dallas and Houston. It’s an excellent solution for having more space, cooking on site, being close to stadiums or in lively neighborhoods, often for a better price than a hotel, especially during such a popular event.
Once the transaction is posted to your account, use your points to reimburse all or part of your stay.
Thanks to the Scene+ program, the points you earn with your Scotiabank Passport Visa Infinite +* Card can be easily used to reimburse your Airbnb accommodation. The redemption is easy to understand: 10,000 Scene+ points are equivalent to $100 in travel credit.
Specifically, if your stay in Dallas or Houston costs $550, you could fully reimburse it with 55,000 Scene+ points, without restrictions on dates, platform, or provider. This is total flexibility: you choose your accommodation, you pay, then you apply your points, and your stay is settled with your rewards.
Hotels
For those who prefer traditional hotels, Marriott Bonvoy is an excellent choice in Dallas and Houston. The chain offers a wide selection of well-located establishments, ranging from budget-friendly options to luxury hotels, while allowing you to earn and redeem points for free nights, upgrades, or exclusive benefits.
With the Marriott Bonvoy program, travelers can enjoy benefits such as early check-in, late check-out, access to member-exclusive lounges, room upgrades, or even complimentary breakfasts depending on their status.
To quickly earn points redeemable for free nights, several Canadian credit cards are particularly advantageous:
These cards offer benefits that allow you to quickly earn points on your travel, hotel, restaurant, or transportation purchases. They also provide welcome offers that can enable you to accumulate the equivalent of several hundred dollars in points. These points can then be transferred to hotel programs or used to pay for your overnight stays.
Earn Scene+ points on your hotel, Airbnb, and flight bookings (1,000 points = $10).
No foreign currency conversion fees, ideal if you’re travelling to the United States to attend the FIFA World Cup 2026.
6 complimentary airport lounge visits, to relax before departure or after your return to DFW, IAH, or any other partner airport.
Access to a concierge service, as well as comprehensive travel and purchase insurance for peace of mind.
Generous welcome bonus, perfect for quickly earning points from the first use.
Advantageous multipliers: 3 points per dollar at partner grocery stores, 2 points per dollar at restaurants, entertainment centers, and public transportation.
By combining the Scotiabank Passport Visa Infinite +* Card with points programs like Scene+ or Marriott Bonvoy, you can book your accommodations in Dallas and Houston while saving and accumulating benefits for your next trips. The actual value of offers, savings realized and points earned will vary depending on card usage and eligibility for applicable offers. Conditions apply.

Actual value may be lower depending on how you choose to redeem your Scene+ points. Earn and redemption limits may apply. See the Scene+ Program Terms and Conditions available at sceneplus.ca/terms-and-conditions for full details including redemption options and additional terms.
Note: Highest value of 10 cents per litre assumes a Premium Fuel Purchase made with a Scotiabank Passport Visa Infinite + Card linked to a Shell Go+ Account. Actual value will vary depending on payment card used and whether or not the card is linked, fuel grade purchased, and how you choose to redeem your Scene+ points.
