Tremblant 2026-2027: Skiing, Festivals and Points Hotels

Tremblant is worth a visit all year: skiing from November 26, 2026 to April 18, 2027, the World Cup on December 5 and 6, fall colours, and festivals and the lake in summer 2027. In this guide, we give you the dates to remember, our favourite activities and the hotels where your points lower the bill.

What we love about Tremblant is its pedestrian village at the foot of the slopes: you leave the car in the lot and do everything on foot, from skiing to dinner. About 1 h 30 from Montréal and 2 h from Ottawa, the resort also has hotels where you can stay with your Marriott Bonvoy, ALL or Hilton Honors points.

Staying in Tremblant's village with your points

In the heart of the pedestrian village, The Westin Resort & Spa, Tremblant completed its renovation in 2025. If you collect Marriott Bonvoy points, it's the hotel we recommend for enjoying the village without your car.

On site, you'll find two restaurants, Léo boire + manger and Margaux, an Amerispa spa and a heated outdoor pool. As a Marriott Bonvoy member, the hotel lets you use your points for some or all of your nights.

At the foot of the slopes, the Fairmont Tremblant puts you steps from the lifts in winter and from the outdoor pool in summer. We recommend it if you want to do everything on foot, from skiing in the morning to dinner in the village at night.

Fall in Tremblant: colours and Halloween

Every year, from mid-September to mid-October, you can take in the fall colours from the gondola and the summit trails. With kids, also note the Halloween party in the pedestrian village on October 31, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

2026-2027 ski season: dates and what's new

The ski season runs from November 26, 2026 to April 18, 2027, except December 25 and January 1, when the mountain is closed. You get 103 runs across four slopes, 14 lifts and a 645 m vertical drop. Our advice: buy your tickets online and as early as you can, since Tremblant adjusts its prices based on the purchase date. If you're a beginner, the new learning zone on the Versant Soleil will make your first runs easier. The future Sommet Timber sector won't open until winter 2027-2028.

What to do in winter off the slopes

Not skiing every day? Tremblant and the surrounding area give you plenty to fill your afternoons and evenings:

On snow and ice: skating, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, fatbiking and snow tubing
By sled: dog sledding, sleigh rides and snowmobiling

Tremblant World Cup: December 5 and 6

The Audi FIS Alpine Ski World Cup returns to Tremblant on December 5 and 6, 2026, with two women's giant slalom races on the Flying Mile run. It's the third time the resort hosts the event. According to Tremblant, you should see Mont-Tremblant's own Valérie Grenier, American Mikaela Shiffrin, and last year's two winners, Julia Scheib and Alice Robinson. The official start list will be released in the coming weeks.

Race and show schedule

The races take place during the day at the finish stadium, and the evening shows in the pedestrian village are free. Stadium gates open at 9 a.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. Here's what you can mark in your calendar:

Friday, December 4: meet-and-greets and autograph sessions with athletes in some village shops late in the day, then the opening party with DJ Bubu from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Place Saint-Bernard
Saturday, December 5: first giant slalom run at 11 a.m., second run at 2 p.m., DJ Marc Rootz from 4 p.m., medal ceremony at 6:15 p.m., bib draw at 6:30 p.m., then Mike Clay's DJ set from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Place des Voyageurs
Sunday, December 6: first run at 10:30 a.m., second run at 1:30 p.m., medal ceremony in the finish area right after the race

New this year, Sarah-Jeanne Labrosse joins host Randy Ferguson for live race commentary on site. The PwC Fan Zone also adds grandstands with seats and a second giant screen. If you're watching from home, CBC (in English) and Radio-Canada (in French) broadcast the races live.

Tickets and race site access

You need a ticket to enter the finish stadium, which is split into three zones: General Admission, PwC Fan Zone and Prestige Zone. Your e-tickets arrive by email, and staff hand you a wristband at the gates. Keep in mind that these passes don't include a lift ticket: if you want to ski the same day, you'll need to buy one separately. Free shuttles run from parking lots P2 and P3 to the site. Stay in Tremblant with your points

Tremblant in summer: festivals and the outdoors

Summer 2027's big events

In summer, Tremblant's pedestrian village runs on festivals. Here are the dates already announced for summer 2027, worth noting before you book your nights.

International Blues Festival, July 7 to 11, 2027

It's the summer's big music event in the pedestrian village: for five days, outdoor stages host blues, soul and funk artists from the afternoon into the evening. The 2027 line-up hasn't been released yet; you'll find it on the Tremblant International Blues Festival website. If you're going with the family, we suggest booking lodging at the foot of the slopes so you can walk back after the shows.

Two more dates to note if you're planning your summer 2027 in Tremblant:

IRONMAN 70.3 Mont-Tremblant, June 20, 2027: the triathlon kicks off summer at the resort. If you're aiming for that weekend without racing, book your lodging early.
Festival Boréalys: the 2026 edition was held in mid-August. The 2027 dates haven't been announced yet.

Activities for the whole family at Mont-Tremblant

Nautical activities

On Lac Tremblant, you can choose between the beach, a cruise, boat rentals, canoeing, kayaking and paddleboarding, including at the Pierre Plouffe nautical centre. In the evening, the pedestrian village is just minutes away for dinner.

Tonga Lumina

Tonga Lumina takes you along a 1.5 km night trail, fully lit up in the forest. The walk lasts about an hour, after a ride up the Flying Mile lift. We recommend it with kids old enough to walk in the evening. It runs in summer and fall only, usually from late June to mid-October.

Ziptrek Ecotours

Once you’ve reached the summit of Mont Tremblant by gondola, the Ziptrek Écotours adventure starts with five zip lines that bring you back down to the pedestrian village over nearly 4 kilometres.

Tremblant golf courses

Tremblant runs two courses: Le Diable (par 71) and Le Géant (par 72). Le Diable usually opens in early May and Le Géant in early June, and both close around mid-October. The 2027 season dates aren't published yet, so check them on the Tremblant website before you book.

Panoramic gondola

The panoramic gondola takes you to the summit in summer, fall and winter. Up top, you get a view over the Laurentians, hiking trails and a restaurant. A detail worth knowing if you hold a 2026-2027 Ikon Pass: the panoramic gondola is only included for summer 2026.

In the village, meals add up fast on a trip budget. The 5X categories and where they apply

The 5X rate is the reason most people carry this card. In Canada it covers three kinds of merchants:

Groceries: Metro, IGA, Sobeys, Super C, Safeway, Whole Foods.
Restaurants and bars: sit-down meals, takeout and drinks.
Home food delivery.
Convenience stores (Couche-Tard, 7-Eleven): not part of 5X, 1 point per dollar.

The 2X rate covers gas stations such as Esso, Shell and Petro-Canada, along with public transit and ride sharing.

With the American Express Cobalt^® Card, you earn between 1 and 5 points per dollar:

That works out to a 1 to 5% return on those purchases. For example, if you spend $1,000 per month across groceries, restaurants and food delivery, you earn $50 back per month, or $600 per year from that category alone. Transfer the points to a program such as Aeroplan instead and the return can be higher.

American Express Cobalt^® Card insurance coverage

The card comes with a broad insurance package. The amounts below are the coverage limits; conditions, age limits and exclusions are set out in the certificate of insurance linked in the Insurance section above.

Travel insurance

Emergency medical: up to $5,000,000 for the first 15 days of a trip.
Travel accident: accidental death and dismemberment of up to $250,000 for you, your spouse and dependent children under age 23 when travelling on a common carrier (plane, train, bus or ship) and the tickets are charged to your card. Supplementary cardholders and their families are covered too.
Flight delay: up to $500 for necessary hotel, meal and sundry expenses bought within 48 hours when you are delayed or denied boarding for four hours or more and no other transportation is available. This $500 is an aggregate limit per occurrence, shared with missed connection and delayed baggage coverage.
Delayed baggage: up to $500 for essential clothing and sundries bought within four days when your outbound luggage is delayed six hours or more. This $500 is an aggregate limit per occurrence, shared with missed connection and flight delay coverage.
Lost or stolen baggage: up to $500 per occurrence for all insured persons combined, for checked or carry-on baggage and personal effects in transit, when the airline tickets are charged to your card. Within that limit, jewellery is capped at $300 per occurrence and golf clubs, including golf bags, at $250 per occurrence.
Hotel and motel burglary: up to $500 against the loss of most personal items if your hotel or motel is burglarized, when the stay is charged to your card.

Rental car insurance

Theft and damage coverage is included for a rental car with an MSRP, for its model year, of up to $85,000 excluding all taxes, for rentals of up to 48 days. To use it, decline the Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) or any similar option from the rental company and charge the full rental to your card. There is no cost for this coverage, and it replaces the daily insurance the rental company charges, usually $16 to $23 per day.

Mobile device insurance

Your device is covered for up to $1,000 per occurrence when it is charged to the card, for up to two years from the date of purchase. The payout is based on the depreciated value of the device, which falls by 2% of the purchase price for every completed month, less a 10% deductible. Theft and accidental damage coverage starts on the 91st day after purchase, because the first 90 days are covered by purchase protection.

Purchase protection and extended warranty

Eligible items charged to your card are insured against accidental physical damage or theft for 90 days from the purchase date, up to $1,000 per occurrence for all items combined. The card also extends the original manufacturer’s warranty by up to one additional year on eligible items, with indemnification limited to $10,000 per insured item and $25,000 per Cardmember per policy year for all items combined.

Farouche Tremblant

Looking for something closer to nature? Farouche Tremblant rents 7 A-frame shelters along the Rivière du Diable, with a red cedar Nordic bath, a farm and its gardens, and an on-site bar. It's the address we suggest for a getaway for two, away from the village. Since it's an independent property, pay with the credit card that earns you the most on travel spending.

Le Grand Lodge Mont-Tremblant

A few minutes' drive from the pedestrian village, Le Grand Lodge Mont-Tremblant gives you a quieter setting, with a private beach, a spa and the Whisky Bar. We recommend it to couples and families who want to enjoy the lake and the mountain without sleeping in the middle of the action. This independent hotel isn't part of a chain, so you can't use hotel points there, but a cash back or flexible points card will cover part of the bill.
