1. New for 2025: 4 airport lounge visits per year
The big news for 2025 on the TD First Class Travel Visa Infinite Card: you now get four free airport lounge visits per year in the DragonPass network worldwide (worth about $200).
With more than 1,200 lounges around the globe, DragonPass offers you:
A comfortable space to relax before your flight
Free snacks and drinks
Workspaces and showers in some lounges
This benefit is managed through the Visa Airport Companion app: you must activate it before you can use it. You won’t be able to enter the lounges just by showing your Visa card.
For full details on activating and using this benefit, see our complete guide to airport lounge access with DragonPass and Visa:
20,000 TD Rewards points after your first purchase with the card
126,000 TD Rewards points after spending $7,500 in the first 6 months
When redeemed for travel through Expedia for TD, 146,000 TD Rewards points are worth $730. Given the required spend of $7,500, that works out to an excellent 11% return on your purchases!
No annual fee the first year (a $139 value)
As a new cardholder, you get an annual fee waiver for the first year. A $139 account credit will be applied to your first statement to cover the annual fee.
You also get a rebate on the fee for one additional cardholder card, a $50 value.
This plan, at $29.95 per month (or $0 if you maintain a minimum balance of $5,000), includes unlimited transactions and an annual rebate of $139 on your credit card’s annual fee.
3. Up to 8x the points on your spending
On May 1, 2025, TD added new earn categories to its credit card lineup, including:
Épicerie
Restaurant Établissements servant de l’alcool Transport en commun Services de diffusion en continu Jeux vidéo Abonnements et médias numériques

4. A $100 annual travel credit on Expedia for TD
Every year, on January 1, you automatically receive a $100 travel credit to use on Expedia for TD. The credit applies to a booking of at least $500 for accommodation or a vacation package (flights, cruises and car rentals are not eligible).
Using it is easy: book through the Expedia for TD portal and pay with your TD First Class Travel Visa Infinite Card. The $100 credit will be automatically applied to your account a few days later.
What’s more, you can combine this credit with your TD Rewards points to maximize your savings. With the travel credit and the welcome bonus, you could save up to $775 on your next vacation!
The best option is still booking through Expedia for TD, where each point is worth 0.5 cents (200 points = $1). For example, a $500 plane ticket will cost you 100,000 points. You can book all kinds of travel: flights, accommodations, car rentals, vacation packages and even cruises.
For even more flexibility, you can convert your points into a travel credit for any travel expense charged to your card, at a rate of 0.4 cents per point (250 points = $1). This option lets you book wherever you like: directly with airlines, through your travel agency or elsewhere.
See our complete guide to using TD Rewards points to discover everything this program has to offer:
6. Bonus points on your birthday
On your birthday, TD gives you a gift! You receive a bonus equal to 10% of the total points earned during the previous year, up to a maximum of 10,000 points.
For example, if you earned 80,000 points during the year, you’ll automatically receive 8,000 bonus points (worth $40 in travel).
These birthday points are added to your regular points and deposited automatically into your account.
7. Comprehensive travel insurance
The TD First Class Travel Visa Infinite Card offers some of the best travel insurance coverage in Canada. A full range of insurance protects you and your family while you travel.
Travel medical insurance covers trips of up to 21 days for travellers under 65, or 4 days for those 65 and over, with coverage of up to $2 million. Your immediate family (spouse and children) is also covered when you travel together.
The card also includes trip cancellation and interruption insurance (up to $1,500 per person for cancellation and $5,000 for interruption), delayed baggage insurance, travel accident insurance and rental car collision insurance.
Beyond travel insurance, the TD First Class Travel card also protects your everyday purchases with several types of coverage.
Purchase protection insurance covers your new items against theft or damage for 90 days after purchase. In addition, extended warranty coverage automatically doubles the manufacturer’s warranty for up to 12 additional months on most new items.
The card also includes mobile device insurance that protects your phone up to $1,000 against damage, loss or theft. To be covered, you must pay for your device or your monthly phone bills with your card.
This coverage applies automatically when you pay for your purchases in full with your card. It’s especially useful for electronics, appliances and other major purchases.
A $100 annual credit to use on Expedia for TD (minimum spend of $500)
Generous earn rates on everyday spending (including the highest return in Canada on travel and public transit)
Flexible rewards points to use on Expedia for TD or as a statement credit
A birthday bonus equal to 10% of the points earned during the year
Comprehensive travel insurance (flight delay, lost or delayed baggage, cancellation, medical care, rental car)
Purchase and mobile device insurance
This card definitely deserves a spot in the wallet of Canadian travellers looking to get the most out of their spending and enjoy excellent protection.
