In everyday life, the BMO VIPorter Mastercard earn VIPorter points as follows:
The spending limit at 2 points per dollar is $10,000 annually from January to December. Over $10,001, the earning rate will be capped at 0.5 VIPorter points per dollar.
Next, the 1X spending limit on gas, hotel and transportation is $3,000 annually from January to December. Above $3,001, the earning rate will also be capped at 0.5 VIPorter points per dollar.
The 1X spending limit on dining and grocery stores is $5,000 annually from January to December. Over $5,001, the earning rate will be capped at 0.5 VIPorter points per dollar.

The spending limit at 3 points per dollar is $20,000 annually from January to December. From $20,001, the earning will be capped at 1 VIPorter point per dollar.

To be eligible for the BMO VIPorter World Elite Mastercard, you must have an individual annual income of $80,000 or more, or a household annual income of at least $150,000. If this is not the case, choose the other version, the BMO VIPorter Mastercard.
With the BMO VIPorter World Elite Mastercard, you automatically receive VIPorter Horizon status. It begins approximately 2 days after your card application is approved, and is valid for as long as you hold the credit card. For example, if you apply for the card today, you’ll retain this status until at least December 31, 2026.
