Do I need to enroll to participate in Shop the Block?

Yes. Enrollment is mandatory and done only once. Without it, no action will be counted. Register in the Blue Rewards app or at bluerewards.ca from June 18, 2026 and before the end of the period on July 8, 2026.

Do I have to shop at 4 different stores?

No. The official terms allow you to combine 6 types of qualifying actions: in-store or online partner purchase, Card Offer, Blue Receipts submission, travel booking, live event ticket purchase or points redemption. Four actions from distinct sources are enough to reach 8,000 points.

Are the point tiers cumulative?

No. Only the highest tier reached is awarded, once per member number. Completing 4 qualifying actions earns 8,000 points, not the sum of all three tiers.

How many points can I earn?

The maximum is 8,800 points: 8,000 for reaching the 4-action-or-more tier, and 800 additional points with a co-branded BMO Blue Rewards credit card. The total value comes to approximately $50.

When will the bonus points be credited?

Bonus points will be credited to your Blue Rewards account by August 5, 2026 at the latest.

Which brands participate in Shop the Block?

Featured brands on the official page include Thaï Express, Manchu Wok, Mr. Sub, Mucho Burrito, Jugo Juice, Fairmont, Sofitel, Novotel, Emblems Collection, Dollarama and Instacart. Is a BMO card required to participate?

No. Any enrolled Blue Rewards member can participate and reach the 8,000-point tier. The co-branded BMO Blue Rewards card unlocks an additional 800 points but is not required to take part.
