Flying Blue: Promo Rewards for July 2026

Each month, Air France-KLM unveils a new wave of Flying Blue Promo Rewards: discounted award tickets offering up to 25% off in Miles. The July 2026 selection is now live. You can book throughout the month of July and travel until December 31, 2026. For Canadian travellers, it’s one of the easiest ways to cross the Atlantic at a lower Miles cost.
Good news this month: Montreal and Toronto benefit from direct access in economy class at 18,750 Miles, with no repositioning required. Ottawa is added via the Extra Exclusif offer at the same rate. For the rest of Canada, we explain how to check departures, how to reposition from a U.S. gateway, and how to boost your Miles balance via transfers from American Express Membership Rewards. Flying Blue Promo Rewards: what are they?
Promo Rewards are a monthly promotion from the Flying Blue program, the loyalty program shared by Air France, KLM, Transavia, Aircalin, Kenya Airways, and TAROM. Air France-KLM offers a selection of cities to and from Europe with a discount of up to 25% off the standard Miles rate.
New Promo award tickets go on sale on the first day of each month. For the July 2026 promotion, you can book throughout the month of July and travel until December 31, 2026, subject to availability. It’s an ideal window for planning a summer, fall, or even holiday vacation to Europe.
Destinations and Miles Rates
Promo Rewards cover both short- and medium-haul routes within Europe and long-haul routes to/from Europe. Here are the main destinations available in July 2026.
Long-haul from North America
This time, Montreal and Toronto are included directly in the economy class promotion, with no repositioning. New York changes category and moves to business class. Several US gateways round out the list for other Canadian cities (see the repositioning strategy below).
| City | Airline | Class | From |
|---|---|---|---|
| Montreal | Air France / KLM | Economy | 18,750 Miles |
| Toronto | KLM | Economy | 18,750 Miles |
| Denver | Air France | Economy | 18,750 Miles |
| Raleigh | Air France | Economy | 18,750 Miles |
| Chicago | KLM | Premium Economy | 30,000 miles |
| Miami | KLM | Economy | 18,750 Miles |
| Portland | KLM | Economy | 18,750 Miles |
| Los Angeles | Air France | Premium Economy | 30,000 miles |
| New York | Air France | Business | 45,000 Miles |
| St. Maarten | Air France | Business | 63,750 Miles |
Extra Exclusive Destinations (Long-haul)
Reserved for Flying Blue Extra subscribers, these additional destinations expand the choices available. Ottawa is included this month, in economy class at the same rate as Montreal and Toronto.
| City | Airline | Class | From |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ottawa | Air France | Economy | 18,750 Miles |
| Atlanta | Air France | Economy | 18,750 Miles |
Short- and Medium-haul in Europe
Once in Europe, these intra-European flights can complete your itinerary for very few Miles. Here are the routes for 7,500 Miles in economy class departing from Paris or Amsterdam.
- Air France (Paris): Munich, Oslo, Basel
- KLM (Amsterdam): Rome, Milan
- Extra Exclusive: London and Copenhagen from Paris; Dublin from Amsterdam
Strategies for Canadian Travelers
Montreal and Toronto benefit from direct access to 18,750 Miles one-way in economy class this month, with no ground stopovers required. Ottawa is also available through the Extra Exclusive offer at the same rate. For other Canadian cities like Vancouver, Calgary, or Halifax, two strategies allow you to take advantage of the promotion.
Strategy 1: Repositioning to the United States
Several U.S. gateways close to Canada are included in economy class: Denver, Raleigh, Miami, and Portland, as well as Atlanta at the Extra Exclusive rate. You can buy a cheap round-trip ticket between your Canadian city and one of these cities, then board Air France or KLM using your Miles.
- Vancouver or Calgary to Portland: often available for under $200 round-trip with short direct flights
- Miles Savings: 18,750 Miles one-way in economy instead of the usual ~25,000 Miles
- Direct access without repositioning: for travelers from Montreal, Toronto, or Ottawa, this month requires no connecting flight to the United States
Strategy 2: Monitor the coming months
Promo Rewards change every month. Montreal, Toronto, and Ottawa are all included in the July selection, but this combination is not guaranteed the following month. If your trip isn’t urgent, waiting for the next monthly wave could pay off. To track new awards in real time, check our news page.
Booking examples (with numbers)
In the past, we observed this example at 7,500 Flying Blue Miles between Montreal and Paris on Air France:
To better understand the value of Promo Rewards, here are some concrete scenarios for July 2026, departing from Montreal, Los Angeles, or in business class to New York.
Economy: Montreal-Paris
- Promotional rate: 18,750 Miles one-way (instead of 25,000 Miles)
- Round-trip: 37,500 Miles + approximately $224 CAD in taxes and surcharges
- Cash comparison: an economy round-trip Montreal-Paris ticket generally sells for between $700 and $1,100 CAD depending on the season
Premium Economy: Los Angeles-Europe
- Promotional rate: 30,000 Miles one-way on Air France, regular rate this month (no need to be an Extra subscriber)
- Round-trip: 60,000 Miles + approximately $390 CAD in taxes
- Value: Premium Economy typically sells for between $1,800 and $2,800 CAD round-trip. A repositioning from Vancouver or Calgary to Los Angeles remains worthwhile for this value difference
Business: Europe-New York
- Promotional rate: 45,000 Miles one-way in business class on Air France, rather than approximately 60,000 Miles at the standard rate
- Round-trip: 90,000 Miles + approximately $511 CAD in taxes and surcharges
- Ideal for: travelers who want to try Air France business class without repositioning, one of the rarest offers of the month

For example, for about $228 USD per month, you get 17,000 Miles—nearly enough for a one-way Promo in economy.
Tips for Finding Flying Blue Flight Rewards
On the Air France KLM website, there’s a trick to know for searching over 30 days using your Flying Blue Miles: don’t enter anything in the date field!
This unlocks a hidden option: a 30-day flight reward calendar. As shown below:
You can then select the date with the best price in Flying Blue Miles and proceed with the booking.
And remember that when you pay for your flight with Flying Blue Miles, the first 23 kg checked bag is included (and if you have Flying Blue status, you get an additional bag).
Mistakes to avoid when booking
Before finalizing your booking, keep in mind a few common pitfalls that can reduce the value of your award ticket.
- Underestimating taxes and surcharges: Air France-KLM charges high carrier surcharges. Expect to pay around $200 to $600 CAD depending on the class and destination.
- Booking too late: Availability is limited, especially during peak season. The best dates often disappear within the first few days of the month.
- Forgetting flexibility: Changes cost €70 before departure, as do cancellations. Lock in your dates before transferring your Miles.
- Ignoring the calendar search: On the Flying Blue site, leaving the date field blank displays a 30-day calendar. This is the essential trick for spotting the cheapest dates in Miles.
Conclusion
The July 2026 Flying Blue Promo Awards offer an excellent opportunity to use your Miles to cross the Atlantic at a reduced rate. Montreal and Toronto benefit from direct economy access at 18,750 Miles, without repositioning, and Ottawa is added via the Extra Exclusive offer. Business class to New York at 45,000 Miles is one of the rarest finds of the month. For other Canadian cities, repositioning via Denver, Raleigh, Portland or Miami remains a worthwhile strategy.
