How the Aeroplan eStore Works

What is Air Canada’s Aeroplan eStore?
The Aeroplan eStore is a platform for Aeroplan members looking to earn points quickly. It allows you to earn points on every purchase and for every eligible dollar spent.
You must access the eStore before making your purchases at popular online retailers.
Good to know: until July 12, 2026, you earn 20 Aeroplan points per dollar at Canadian Down & Feather Company via the eStore.
With the Aeroplan eStore, you can also earn points by shopping with over 250 partner brands. Plus, with the browser extension offered by the eStore, earning points is even easier: just download, install, and configure the extension to start earning points on your online purchases.
For those using an Aeroplan credit card, the eStore offers the opportunity to double their points:
- Once by making a purchase on the eStore;
- And a second time by using their Aeroplan credit card for that purchase.
Also, holding Aeroplan Elite status adds 2X bonus points.
Why use the Aeroplan eStore?
Aeroplan points earned by making purchases through the Aeroplan eStore can be redeemed for a variety of rewards, ranging from gift cards to flight tickets.
The main advantage of earning points with the eStore is the ability to get significant rewards without spending extra money and without taking flights. Plus, some retailer websites offer bonus points, allowing you to earn even more.
The Black Friday period is particularly advantageous for Aeroplan members. The eStore allows you to quickly accumulate many Aeroplan points with multiple promotions. It’s truly crazy!
For example, during a 10X Aeroplan points promotion, a $550 purchase paid with an Aeroplan credit card allows you to earn:
| Accumulation source | Aeroplan Points |
| eStore 10X promotion on $550 | 5,500 points |
| Aeroplan Elite status (2X points) | 1,100 points |
| TDMD AeroplanMD Visa Infinite Privilege* Card (1.25 points/dollar, taxes included) | 790 points |
| Total | 7,390 points |
Here are some ideas for destinations where you can go far and wide thanks to these fabulous points.
How to use the Aeroplan eStore portal
First, go to the Aeroplan eStore page and log in to your Aeroplan profile, at the top right. If you’re not an Aeroplan member, sign up for free.
Then, in the Retailers tab, select the business where you wish to make an online purchase.

In this example, the GAP clothing store was selected. You’ll notice that right now, every dollar before taxes spent at this store will earn 3 Aeroplan points. This varies depending on promotions.
Then click on Shop & Earn.

A new browser window will open. To make sure you receive the points, stay on this new page.
Then shop as usual.
Your Aeroplan member number will never be requested on online stores. What matters is having clicked on the eStore link, staying on the newly opened page, and completing the transaction there.
A few minutes or a few days later, you’ll see the transaction in the menu at the top right of the eStore, by clicking on Order History.
This function can be useful, but don’t count on it too much. Sometimes, it’s not very reliable.

Then all you have to do is wait for the points to arrive, within 6 to 8 weeks. Sometimes it’s faster.
You’ll see them in your Aeroplan profile on the Air Canada site, under the Activity tab.

You’ll see the Aeroplan points divided into several deposits:
- Accumulated base points
- Bonus points earned through Aeroplan status if applicable
- And promotion points, if any
For credit card promotions, it will be earned directly by your card issuer on your monthly statement.

If, despite all your precautions, you don’t receive your Aeroplan points, submit a missing points request.
The icon is located at the bottom of the Activity section.

Aeroplan and eStore partners: Amazon, Best Buy, Apple, Simons, Sephora, The Bay, Decathlon, Disney+, Reitmans, etc.
Many brands are looking to attract customers to their website. So they partner with an online shopping portal like the Aeroplan eStore by paying them a commission for referred customers.
Then, once the customer’s purchase is confirmed, Aeroplan will also give them reward points as a thank you.
Plus, promotional days like Amazon Canada Prime Day allow you to earn multiple Aeroplan points by going through the eStore and paying for the purchase with an Aeroplan credit card.
Usually, Black Friday, long weekends, or holidays are the times when there’s the best chance of seeing promotions on the Aeroplan eStore.
How to use your Aeroplan points to get rewards
With your accumulated Aeroplan points, a multitude of rewards are available to you. To use them, first log in to your Aeroplan account. You can check your points balance and the different reward options available:
- Travel rewards: You can use your Aeroplan points to book flights with Air Canada and its airline partners (United, TAP Portugal, Emirates, Swiss, Air New Zealand, etc.). Points can also be used for hotel stays, onboard Wi-Fi during a flight, upgrade bids to move up to Business Class, and car rentals.
- eStore rewards: Points can be redeemed for selected products or gift cards.
- HotelSavers: Book hotels with your Aeroplan points.

What is the Aeroplan program and membership card?
The Aeroplan program is a loyalty program linked to Air Canada. Points earned from flights, purchases via an Aeroplan credit card, or on the Aeroplan eStore give you Aeroplan points.
You can also use your points for everyday purchases with Uber Eats, for example, or convert your points into Starbucks Stars.
Then, these Aeroplan points are used to purchase gift cards, merchandise, vacation packages, or flight rewards in the form of airline tickets.
What is the value of a Aeroplan point?
The value of an Aeroplan point according to Milesopedia is 1.7¢. But this depends on how you choose to use them. For optimal use of your points, it’s recommended to redeem them for flight tickets. Indeed, while it’s possible to redeem your Aeroplan points for merchandise or gift cards, this use is generally less profitable.
It should also be noted that it’s possible to earn points faster during certain promotional periods, like Black Friday.
To maximize point accumulation, double up and use your Aeroplan credit card when shopping on the eStore to earn more points.
How many miles or Aeroplan points are needed for a trip?

Is it worth buying Aeroplan points?
