Porter launches flights at Montreal’s MET Airport

MET Airport for Greater Montreal

MET is a private, national-scale transportation infrastructure project. The terminal features a compact, open design, intended to reduce time spent at the airport. Moreover, its location in Longueuil makes it quickly accessible from downtown, the South Shore, and the eastern part of the metropolis.

According to projections, passenger traffic will reach one million in the first year, then climb to four million annually at full capacity. Thus, MET establishes itself as a new transportation hub for a growing metropolitan region.

11 Porter Airlines Routes from MET

Porter is deploying 11 routes from MET within one week, from June 15 to June 22, 2026. The network covers Canada from coast to coast, with frequencies reaching 27 flights per week to Toronto City (Billy Bishop).

Four Routes Starting Today

On June 15, Porter launches four inaugural routes: Vancouver, Toronto-Pearson, Toronto City, and St. John’s. The other destinations will be added progressively until June 22.

Nearly Double the Capacity in Montreal

With MET and its continued operations at Montreal-Trudeau, Porter will almost double its capacity in Greater Montreal this summer. Specifically, the company is adding over 1,000 flights for the season.

In addition, a partnership with Pascan Aviation, based at MET, strengthens connections to regions of Quebec, the Maritimes, and the rest of Porter’s North American network.

Aircraft and Onboard Experience

MET is served by two of the quietest and most fuel-efficient aircraft in their class: the De Havilland Dash 8-400 (78 seats) and the Embraer E195-E2 (132 seats). Both feature a 2-2 configuration, with no middle seat.

Recognized for its attentive service, Porter has been elevating the economy air travel experience since 2006. Its fleet of Embraer E195-E2 and Dash 8-400 aircraft serves Canada, the United States, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central America.
