Summer 2025 Schedule Changes

In response to changes in demand between the Canadian and U.S. markets, Porter Airlines is adjusting its summer 2025 schedule to increase domestic flights to 80% of its total network capacity, while reducing frequency in other U.S. markets.

Here is a revised table of domestic flight frequencies:

News

Changes to the schedule include the following:

  • A new route is added between Moncton and Toronto-Pearson, in addition to connections between Moncton and Toronto-Billy Bishop.
  • The frequency of the following flights was doubled to 14 flights per week:
    • Hamilton – Vancouver
    • Montreal – Vancouver
    • Toronto – St. Catharines -St. John’s

Despite the interest of Canadians in finding alternatives to travel within the United States, Porter is maintaining an increased capacity of 25% for U.S. service compared to last year.

« Based on our current spring bookings, the number of passengers travelling on Porter across our transborder routes is up more than our capacity, demonstrating strong traveller demand for Porter’s elevated experience. As we shift some capacity to domestic routes in the near term to account for consumer travel interest, we are still seeing an overall increase in U.S. travel on Porter flights,” said Jackson, President of Porter Airlines.

New Partnership Between Porter and Pascan

This new partnership between the two airlines now offers connections via Halifax and Quebec, linking eight Pascan destinations in Eastern Canada to Porter Airlines‘ growing North American network.

This collaboration opens up more than 90 combined itineraries, which can result in connections such as:

  • Vancouver – Sydney (Nova Scotia)
  • Orlando (Florida) – Saint John (New Brunswick)
  • Sault Ste. Marie (Ontario) – Bonaventure (Quebec)
  • Gaspé (Quebec) – Timmins (Ontario)

So a person from Gaspé will no longer need to buy two separate tickets to go to Timmins. A single ticket and reservation will be required on either the Porter or Pascan websites.

And by the end of the year, Montreal will be another hub, as the new Montreal Metropolitan Airport terminal opens for business. Porter and Pascan will operate jointly there, strengthening their presence on the South Shore of Montreal and facilitating connections for travellers.

Pascan flights will be operated by 33-seat SAAB 340B aircraft.

This partnership follows Porter’s major announcement this week of the launch of two new VIPorter credit cards. Porter is definitely on a roll, and growing fast!

New Service Between Montreal and New York

In addition to this partnership, Porter Airlines continues its expansion in the New York region by adding a new route between Montreal-Trudeau Airport (YUL) and Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR).

This is good news for travellers in the Golden Horseshoe and Greater Toronto Area.

New Route Between Toronto and LaGuardia

Porter Airlines continues its expansion in the USA with the announcement of a new route between Toronto’s Pearson International Airport (YYZ) and New York’s LaGuardia Airport (LGA).

This new route offers convenient connections via Toronto Pearson to many Canadian cities, including Calgary, Edmonton, Halifax, Montreal, Ottawa and Vancouver.

The partnership with JetBlue also enables travellers to easily reach various destinations in the southern U.S. via LaGuardia (LGA).

This expansion complements Porter’s existing operations at Newark Airport (EWR), bringing the total number of daily round-trip flights between Canada and the New York region to 15.

New Flight Between Ottawa and Victoria

Porter Airlines is adding a new direct route between Ottawa (YOW) and Victoria (YYJ), British Columbia, starting May 15, 2025. Non-stop flights will be available up to four times a week during the summer.

Victoria thus becomes the province’s second destination with direct flights to Ottawa, after Vancouver. Here is the initial schedule:

8:35 a.m.10:55 a.m.

YYJ-YOW
