Your Hotel Bed at Home, with CDFC Down Bedding

A hotel bed comes down to four pieces, and Canadian Down & Feather Company (CDFC), a Canadian maker of down bedding that also sells to hotels, offers you all of them. Until November 15, 2026, now is the time to check out: the Aeroplan eStore gives you 20 points per dollar on your order.
Whether you travel solo, as a couple or with the family, what makes us feel at home on the other side of the world is often a cozy bed and soft sheets. Here is what to pick to bring that feeling home, what each piece costs to start, and how many points you earn. The full promotion is covered in our article on the CDFC promotion, and you can find the value of a point on our Aeroplan program page.
We love exploring the world, on our own, as a couple or with the family. After hours on a plane, in queues and across time zones, what we look for on arrival is nothing spectacular: a bed you sink into, cool, soft sheets, a pillow that holds your neck just right. When all of that is there, even the most anonymous hotel room becomes home for a few nights.
This comfort doesn't have to be reserved for trips. You spend a third of your life in bed, and those same details (soft sheets, a plush duvet, a pillow that fits you) turn your bedroom into a place you look forward to coming back to. Here is how to build it, piece by piece.
Airlines have made it a priority too: Air Canada has redesigned its bedding on international flights, with materials chosen to disperse body heat better and limit temperature swings during sleep. We cover it in our article on Air Canada's new bedding: sleeping well means recovering better.

Good news: you don't need a new mattress to get this feeling. The duvet, pillows, topper and sheets do most of the work. According to CDFC, even the best hotels often choose lower-loft down duvets, for cost and durability. So we suggest one pick per piece, with the starting price in Canadian dollars.
| Piece | Model | What it brings | Starting price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Duvet | Hutterite Goose Down Duvet | Goose down, 725+ fill power, very light | CA$490 |
| Duvet (budget) | Hutterite White Down Duvet | Duck down, 700+ fill power | CA$320 |
| Pillow | Down Perfect™ Pillow | Goose feather core, down all around | CA$85 |
| Pillow (plush) | 625 Loft White Down Pillow | Duck down, soft and enveloping | CA$140 |
| Mattress topper | Down Perfect™ Feather Bed | Goose feather with a layer of down, elastic corners | CA$250 |
A good duvet is judged by its weight as much as its down. CDFC offers two weights for its Hutterite duvets: Regular suits a bedroom between 19 and 21 °C, and All Season suits you if you sleep cool, between 16 and 18 °C, or tend to feel the cold.
The Hutterite Goose Down Duvet (goose down, 725+ fill power) gives the most warmth for the least weight. The Hutterite White Down Duvet (duck down, 700+) costs CA$170 less at the starting price, and CDFC describes it as very comparable in quality.
Before you order, compare the dimensions of the duvet and your cover: CDFC advises going by dimensions rather than the size name, which varies from brand to brand. Always use the duvet inside a cover too, since CDFC states the warranty no longer applies without one.
A hotel pillow wins over most sleepers with medium support. The Down Perfect™ in Medium follows that logic, and CDFC recommends it for people who sleep on their back or side. Its goose feather core, about 90% of the weight, provides the support, and the down around it adds softness.
Prefer a pillow you sink into? The 625 Loft White Down Pillow is soft and malleable. According to CDFC, the Soft version suits stomach sleepers, and the Medium and Firm versions suit back and stomach sleepers. Hotels, again according to CDFC, often choose the Firm version to keep a little support.

A feather topper adds a layer of plushness on the mattress you already own. The Down Perfect™ Feather Bed layers goose feather under a layer of down, and its elastic corners hold it to the mattress. CDFC designs it for people whose mattress is too soft and who want more support.
For sheets, CDFC offers duvet covers, flat sheets, fitted sheets and pillowcases in cotton percale, including a Classic White range for the understated hotel look. You'll find the white fitted sheet from CA$105.

CDFC makes its duvets, pillows and mattress toppers at its Toronto facility and also sells them to hotels and interior designers. The comfort you want for your bedroom is, in other words, already made for rooms that travelers choose every night.
CDFC is also IDS and RDS certified, two standards that audit animal and human welfare across the supply chain, and it is a Certified B Corporation. If you hesitate over a size or a weight, its customer service team is there to help you choose. You can read more on CDFC's About Us page.
The offer awards 20 Aeroplan points per dollar spent at canadiandownandfeather.com, from November 2 to 15, 2026, when you go through the Aeroplan eStore. Here are two baskets, based on each piece's starting price (the smallest size), before taxes and shipping:
Pay with an Aeroplan card and you add more: the TD Aeroplan Visa Infinite earns 1 point per dollar on everyday purchases. That makes about 21 points per dollar on your bed, since the card counts the amount billed, taxes included.
You earn the points by going through the eStore. Follow these steps:

Milesopedia member? A 10% code is waiting for you. CDFC offers our members 10% off any order, regular and sale prices included. You'll find the code in the offers of your member area once you're logged in. Keep in mind that it can't be combined with any other promotion, including the 20 Aeroplan points per dollar: until November 15, pick the one that suits you best, the instant discount or the points. After November 15, the code is still there for you.
If you only change one piece, start with the duvet: it's what makes you want to stay in bed. Next, add two pillows that fit the way you sleep, then the topper if your mattress lacks support. The promotion ends on November 15, 2026: if you were thinking of refreshing your bedding, now is the time, since every dollar earns you 20 points. Go through the Aeroplan eStore before you pay, or the points won't count.
