What’s the difference between Costco warehouses and Costco Business Centre ?

Costco Wholesale warehouses are located in 21 cities in Quebec and are accessible to all Costco members.

Costco Business Centre carries products in large quantities primarily aimed at convenience stores, caterers, restaurants, and hotels. Here are the addresses of the Costco Business Centre locations in Quebec:

  • 5025 Boulevard Cousineau, Longueuil (since September 2020, in the Saint-Hubert borough)
  • 7373 rue Bombardier, Anjou (since June 2022)
  • 999, rue Marais in Quebec City (open since December 2025)

However, even Costco members who are individuals can go to a Costco Business Centre!

It’s even possible to buy online at Costco Business Centre.

All members can shop there

Few people know this, but regular Costco Canada memberships also grant the right to shop at Costco Business Centre. And this, in all countries of the world.

The cost of a Gold Star membership at regular Costco Canada is the same as for the Business Centre, which is $65 for twelve months.

The Executive subscription costs $130 for both Costco Warehouses. This Costco Executive card provides an annual 2% reward on eligible warehouse purchases, at Costco Business Centres, on Costco.ca online, and with Costco Travel.

We can use our Mastercard credit cards (any one, as long as it is a Mastercard) at both locations and thus accumulate points on our purchases.

Check out this article to find the best Mastercard credit card for Costco Canada.

Costco Business Hours

Here’s the schedule for the two Costco Business Centre in St-Hubert and Anjou:

  • Monday to Saturday between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM
  • Sunday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

They open earlier to accommodate businesses.

Instead of going to a Costco Business Centre, you can buy online and get next-day delivery, even on Saturdays.

There is never a crowd

Unlike Costco Wholesale warehouses, the Business Centre does not experience crowds at the checkouts. Entry and exit are fluid and without queues throughout the day.

Quality kitchen accessories at low prices

In the Costco Business Centre, you will not find any alcohol, clothing, toys, jewelry, or books.

However, culinary equipment is in the spotlight. Many appliances are intended for businesses, such as meat slicers or food warmers. However, you can also find cookie sheets, whisks, and very high-quality knives at lower prices.

Sought-after pieces of meat

Make room in your freezer and be ready to carve a whole piece of meat at home! Costco Business Centre does not have a butcher shop on site.

The effort is worth it, however, because not only do you save money, but you will also have acquired cuts of meat such as briskets, pork shoulders, strip loins, flank steaks, etc. And for ground meat, you can freeze it in small portions.

Exclusive products

Some very popular items can be found in both Costco warehouses and Costco Business Centre. But 80% of products are exclusive to the Costco Business Centre.

Items are often sold in large quantities but not always.

At Costco Business Centre, certain condiments may be sold in buckets, which is more suitable for a restaurant than for a household. There is a limit of 19 liters of relish for a family. The same applies to office or school supplies. No need for a box of 36 erasers at home.

But products exclusive to Costco Business Centre can also be used at home. You can check the online specials, but here are a few examples:

  • Juices/soft drinks in large quantities
  • Frozen products specific to Costco Business Centre. Check out what’s in the 12,000-square-foot fridge!
  • Variety of flours, oils, rice, quinoa, etc. in multi-kilo bags
  • Wide choice of cheese blocks, mascarpone, deli meats, fish, and sausages in boxes or bags
  • Anti-fatigue mats
  • Pots, pans, and other kitchen utensils
  • Takeaway containers

You can find the flyer page for Costco Business Centre here.

Low prices for certain items

Buying in very large quantities is also cheaper when you need it and have the space to store it (or if several families are splitting the grocery basket). Here are some examples:

  • toilet paper and paper towels,
  • industrial cleaning products, packaging products,
  • Salmon, for example, in 10 kg packs,
  • boxes of vegetables or fruits.

The candy paradise

Be careful. It may be safer to go without the children. Because the choices of sweets, snacks, treats, chocolates, biscuits, etc., are much more numerous at Costco Business Centre.

Finally, besides the answers we regularly provide on the milesopedia Facebook group regarding Costco, are you familiar with the group Les accros du Costco or Les accros du Costco pour entreprise!? The latest promotions are shared there.

Conclusion

The Costco Business Centre brand is definitely aimed at businesses.

Shopping at Costco Business Centre represents an interesting option for individuals wishing to supplement their purchases at regular Costco Canada.

In Quebec, the St-Hubert Costco Business Centre and Anjou Costco Business Centre are very well located for the business needs of companies in Montreal and on the South Shore of Montreal.

However, all Costco members are invited to these Costco for Business Centre, thanks to their Costco membership card!
