Welcome offer: up to 100,000 points on BMO Blue Rewards cards
The BMO Blue Rewards World Elite Mastercard offers up to 100,000 bonus Blue points to new cardholders, with the first year with no annual fee. The offer is valid for all applications received by October 31, 2026.
Unlike a lump-sum bonus, this one is unlocked in spending tiers during the first year:
- 45,000 points after $5,000 in purchases within the first 110 days of account opening
- 20,000 points after $10,000 in purchases within the first 180 days
- 35,000 points after $20,000 in purchases within the first 365 days

- 20% off select hotels: discount on a selection of sun destinations booked through Blue Rewards Travel (powered by Expedia), until December 31, 2026.
- Sushi Shop and Taco Time: new card-linked offer partners, 1 Blue point per $1 spent with an eligible Canadian Mastercard or a BMO-issued Visa or Mastercard credit or debit card.

- 500 points for the app: download the Blue Rewards app and log in for the first time to receive 500 bonus points. One offer per member number; allow up to 90 days after the end of the promotional period for the points to be awarded.
New partners: Giant Tiger and Pharmasave
The Blue Rewards partner network continues to expand. Two new banners now let you earn points, each with different terms.
Giant Tiger: Card-linked Offer
Giant Tiger joins the program as a Card-linked Offers partner (Card Offers). Until November 30, 2026, eligible members who register for the offer can get 400 bonus points on a purchase of $50 or more, in-store or online, with a Canadian Mastercard or a BMO-issued Visa or Mastercard credit or debit card linked to their account.
- Have an active Blue Rewards account
- Link an eligible Canadian Mastercard or a BMO card to that account
- Register (opt-in) for the Giant Tiger offer specifically in the Card-linked Offers section
- Make an eligible purchase of $50 or more at Giant Tiger, in-store or online
Pharmasave: in-store earning
As of June 2, 2026, the AIR MILES program at Pharmasave switched to Blue Rewards. More than 800 participating Pharmasave locations now let you earn Blue points on eligible health, wellness, personal care, and household purchases.
The base rate is 16 Blue points for every $10 spent in-store (minimum purchase of $10 before taxes). BMO Blue Rewards credit cardholders earn 10x the points, i.e., 160 points per $10. Excluded from eligible purchases are prescription drugs (except in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Nova Scotia), alcohol, tobacco, gift cards, and lottery tickets.
Bonus points from card-linked offers can take up to 120 days to be credited to your account. Remember to keep your receipts in case of any discrepancy.
BMO Blue Rewards Cards
A co-branded BMO Blue Rewards credit card accelerates your points earning and unlocks cardholder-only bonuses during promotions. You can earn up to 10 points per dollar with participating partners and benefit from an enhanced welcome offer when you open an account.
