Blue Rewards and Dollarama launch an exclusive multi-year partnership. Announced on June 16, 2026, this agreement allows members to earn Blue Points on their everyday purchases at over 1,700 Dollarama stores nationwide. This is a first since the AIR MILES program became Blue Rewards on June 2, 2026.
Specifically, you earn Blue Points at Dollarama on purchases of $20 or more, provided you have linked a BMO payment card to your account. In addition, BMO Blue Rewards credit cardholders benefit from the “10x Points” accelerator. To fully understand the mechanics, consult our complete Blue Rewards guide as well as our best credit cards page.
The partnership between Blue Rewards and Dollarama is based on three main benefits for members. Here’s what changes concretely at the checkout.
With 1,700 stores nationwide, Dollarama becomes one of the most accessible earning locations in the network. Indeed, the retailer joins partners such as Pharmasave, Global Pet Foods, and Blue Rewards Travel.
To earn, you must first link a BMO payment card to your Blue Rewards account. Then, every eligible purchase of $20 or more at Dollarama generates Blue Points. No physical card to present: earning is done through the linked card.
Furthermore, the “10x Points” accelerator is activated when you pay with a BMO Blue Rewards credit card. According to BMO, this multiplier allows you to get up to 6% value on eligible purchases at participating partners, including Blue Rewards Travel.
This partnership is not a big surprise. Indeed, Dollarama had already collaborated with AIR MILES, the program that preceded Blue Rewards, starting in 2023. Customers could then earn Miles in-store under certain conditions.
Since then, BMO transformed AIR MILES into Blue Rewards on June 2, 2026. The program changed its name, currency, and structure. Thus, Dollarama’s return this time takes the form of an exclusive multi-year agreement, under the new brand and with simplified mechanics.
The 10x accelerator relies on the two credit cards launched on June 2, 2026. However, the exact multiplier depends on the card you hold.
With the BMO Blue Rewards World Elite Mastercard (currently on promotion, with no fees the first year and offering up to 100,000 bonus points as a welcome bonus), you earn up to 10 Points per dollar at participating partners.
With the no-fee BMO Blue Rewards Mastercard, the rate is 5 Points per dollar. In both cases, caps per cycle apply. Our detailed comparison helps you choose between the two based on your profile.
For everyday use, this partnership is good news. Indeed, Dollarama is one of the stores where many households shop weekly. Transforming these everyday purchases into Blue Points requires little effort, especially with a BMO Blue Rewards credit card linked to the account.
However, if your priority is optimizing points for flights or transfers to airline programs, programs like Aeroplan or American Express Membership Rewards remain more profitable. Blue Rewards primarily aims for everyday value, not high-end travel. To compare all options, consult our best credit cards and all BMO cards.
