Air Canada Vacations: Up to 20,000 Extra Aeroplan Points on Packages
Since October 2023, Aeroplan members can earn a maximum of 12,000 additional points when booking an Air Canada Vacations package, until December 31, 2026.
Air Canada Vacations now announces that Aeroplan members will earn up to 20,000 additional Aeroplan points on all eligible package bookings made as of September 8, 2025. This offer is valid only for travel starting January 1, 2026, and completed by December 31, 2026. Aeroplan members can maximize their points earnings on select Air Canada Vacations packages to Mexico, the Caribbean, Central America, and South America.
Here are the destinations and bonus points:
- Air Canada Vacations in Europe and Worldwide: 4,000 bonus points on all tours
- Las Vegas: Up to 12,000 bonus points on selected packages, with a minimum stay of four nights
- Caribbean, Mexico, and United States: Up to 12,000 bonus points on selected packages, with a minimum stay of seven nights for 2025 and up to 20,000 points for the same trip taken in 2026
- Flight and Hotel Packages in Europe: Up to 8,000 additional Aeroplan points on selected packages (minimum 7 nights)
- Canada: Up to 2,000 additional Aeroplan points for selected Flight and Hotel packages to Whistler, Kamloops, Calgary, and St. John’s
The longer the stay, the more attractive the number of additional Aeroplan points can be for a future trip with Air Canada.
Air Canada Vacations – Extra Aeroplan Points
Air Canada Vacations allows you to earn points on the flight portion of a trip booked on their platform. This additional points opportunity is another way to earn extra points on packages.
Here are the terms and conditions:
- Eligible for members aged 13 and older on the departure date
- Aeroplan members aged 2 to 12 will receive 50% of the Aeroplan points
- Valid on select packages booked through the Air Canada Vacations website, the Air Canada Vacations call centre, or any eligible travel agent.
- Each Aeroplan member’s account number must be included in the booking before travel
- Points will be awarded 6 to 8 weeks after the vacation is over.
When you search for a vacation package on the Air Canada Vacations site, you can see how many extra points will be paid out, after clicking on the hotel.
These all-inclusive vacation packages combine flight and hotel, making them a popular turnkey travel option for travellers seeking simplicity.
New Way to Achieve Aeroplan Elite Status with Air Canada Vacations
From August 28, 2023 until December 31, 2026, to help you reach Aeroplan Elite Status, Air Canada Vacations lets you earn 25% in SQD on vacation packages. All of this while continuing to earn SQM and SQS as usual.
Status Qualifying Dollars (SQD) are earned at 25% of the total cost per Aeroplan member, including all taxes and fees, of the eligible vacation package. An eligible vacation package includes flights or flights and cruise, with travel undertaken by the Aeroplan member.
Starting January 1, 2026, this will change with the introduction of Status Qualifying Credits (SQC). Aeroplan Elite members will earn 1 SQC for every dollar spent on Air Canada Vacations packages.
Then, the Aeroplan points earned with an Air Canada Vacations package will vary depending on your destination and the cabin class booked, according to this chart:

Additionally, Aeroplan Elite members will have a multiplier of 2 to 6 times more of these Aeroplan points. Unfortunately, this multiplier will not apply to bonus points awarded of up to 20,000 points.
