This bold, friendly establishment is Montreal’s newest hotel. A member of the Marriott Bonvoy chain, it represents the first implementation of the Moxy brand in Quebec. The Moxy Montreal Downtown will welcome its first guests on April 30, 2025 at 3:00 pm.
Moxy hotels are known for their vibrant atmosphere and welcome cocktail offered upon arrival. The rooms feature a minimalist yet comfortable design. The spacious common lounges are designed to host lively evenings, and Moxy locations are situated in the most sought-after neighbourhoods of the city.
This magnificent, eclectic 4-star-plus hotel is located at 910 Rue Saint-Jacques at Montreal, not far from Place Bonaventure and the National Bank Tower. The hotel’s rooms, pool and other common areas are spread over 12 floors, while the remaining 51 floors are reserved for apartments from the Skyla project.
The type of customer mindset sought is youthful, and it’s a hotel open to everyone.
The decor is heavily inspired by the Montreal metro, featuring a funky and unique vibe. Since pink is a signature colour of Moxy, you’ll find various shades of it throughout the hotel.
At Moxy, there’s always an exciting activity or event happening in the hotel every day, week, or month.
For example, on the next International Lemonade Day, all guests will enjoy a complimentary lemonade. Or, during a specific week, there might be yoga classes offered to everyone or an outdoor picnic.
The Moxy Montreal Downtown offers 216 intelligently designed rooms, and includes the following facilities and features:
Guests of the Moxy Montreal Downtown will be charmed by the hotel’s eclectic decor, where local art is king.
Floating mirrors in the lobby and a majestic spiral staircase immediately catch your attention upon entry. On the second floor, you’ll find a spacious collaborative workspace equipped with numerous cozy sofas and armchairs. It is accessible to everyone, including those who are not hotel guests.
On each floor, murals of subway cars, created by the women’s collective Design is Yummy, pay tribute to Montreal’s identity. You’ll notice that the floor number is prominently displayed on the mural.
Several original touches evoke Montreal, with its vibrant and non-conformist spirit. The essence of the Montreal metro accompanies us everywhere.

All rooms are equipped with a 50-inch Full HD television and high-speed Wi-Fi access. The rooms may face north, south, east, or west, each offering its unique feature. Depending on the orientation, you might see the famous Farine Five Roses sign, a sunrise, the Griffintown neighbourhood, or downtown.
A small refrigerator is located under the desk. However, there is no coffee machine.
Each room has minimalist yet thoughtful furnishings. They are designed for travellers who spend more time outdoors enjoying the city.
Room rates vary according to the season. Of course, during the events that rock the city (Formula 1 Grand Prix, Osheaga, etc.), rates are higher.
There are no suites, but there are 22 accessible rooms available. The bedroom windows have 4 layers of glass, so no one can hear what’s going on outside.
When you’re in your room and need a toothbrush, iron, ice bucket, towel or extra sheets, the “Reserve” is there for you. Rather than having to contact reception and wait for a member of staff to bring you the missing items, go straight there and help yourself.
The Moxy Bar and Restaurant offers everything in one place. Hotel guests can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner here. It also offers takeaway and sharing options.
Guests are also invited to sip their drinks, enjoy regional craft beverages, and savor a good meal or snacks, all in a relaxed atmosphere.
The dining concept stands out with its unconventional approach, favouring a relaxed atmosphere without traditional tables. Guests are instead invited to settle into particularly cozy sofas and warm communal spaces, encouraging more informal and friendly conversations.
For guests always on the go, there is a large Grab and Go island where they can pick up small sweet and savoury treats as well as beverages for quick consumption.
Moxy hotels rarely feature a pool, but Moxy Montreal Downtown is an exception. Enjoy the company of pink flamingos while taking in the view of the city of Montreal! A sauna and a spa are also available on-site.
What’s more, the gym on the 12th floor offers breathtaking panoramic views. It’s a great way to get motivated and make exercising less of a chore. Designed to be more spacious and immense, this space is also shared with the 600 tenants who will live on the upper floors.
A little further away, there is a space designated for yoga and stretching.
This fabulous Moxy Montreal downtown offers over 200 rooms spread over 11 floors, specially designed to meet the expectations of a mobile clientele in search of authentic urban experiences. It’s ideal for travellers who prefer a touch of style and functionality, right in the center of the action.
This is the third Moxy-branded Marriott hotel in Canada, after the Moxy Banff and the Moxy Halifax Downtown.
