To the point Two targeted Amex Offers are active this summer: a credit at Marriott Bonvoy and a credit on dining at Toronto Pearson Airport. Here's how to check your eligibility.

American Express Canada currently has two targeted Amex Offers that matter for cardholders traveling this summer: a credit at Marriott Bonvoy hotels and a credit on dining at Toronto Pearson Airport. Here are the details of each offer and how to check whether you have access to them.

What is an Amex Offer?

An Amex Offer is a personalized promotion American Express adds directly to your online account or mobile app. Unlike a welcome bonus, it isn’t guaranteed to every cardholder: each member sees a different set of offers, based on their spending history.

So, before you spend, check your account first, then activate the offer with one click. No credit is issued automatically if the offer wasn’t added beforehand.

Marriott Bonvoy offer: up to $60

This offer gives a one-time $60 credit when you spend $250 or more at one or more Marriott Bonvoy hotels. Here are the main terms:

  • Eligible destinations: Marriott Bonvoy hotels in Canada, Mexico, and the United States
  • Where to book: directly at the hotel, on marriott.com, or through the Marriott Bonvoy app
  • Minimum spend: $250, cumulative across stays or in a single payment
  • Deadline: October 6, 2026
  • Cards where the offer has been spotted: Cobalt, Gold, and Platinum Card from American Express

As with any Amex Offer, enrollment is required before you make the purchase. A stay paid before activation does not qualify for a retroactive credit.

Pearson Airport dining offer

The second offer targets travelers passing through Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ). It gives a $30 credit after a single $60 purchase at participating restaurants or shops in Terminal 1 and Terminal 3.

  • Minimum spend: $60 in a single transaction
  • Credit earned: $30 statement credit
  • Eligible locations: participating outlets in Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 (domestic, transborder, and international zones)
  • Second credit available: between October 1 and December 31, 2026, for a new $60 purchase
  • Cards where the offer has been spotted: Platinum Card and Business Platinum Card from American Express

How to check your eligibility

Since Amex Offers are personalized, the only way to know if you have access is to check your account. Here’s how:

  • Log in to your American Express account, on the website or the mobile app
  • Find the “Amex Offers” or “Offers for you” section
  • If the Marriott or Pearson offer appears, click “Add to card” before spending
  • Repeat the check on each of your American Express cards, since offers vary from card to card

If the offer doesn’t show up today, check back in a few days. American Express regularly refreshes its Amex Offers based on your spending patterns.

Which Amex card for these offers?

Both offers have been spotted on several American Express cards, but the Cobalt Card remains the most accessible starting point for receiving Amex Offers, since it requires no minimum income.

Bottom line

Both Amex Offers pay off quickly if you already have a Marriott stay or a Pearson layover planned this summer. That said, there’s no need to rearrange your travel plans just for these credits: check your account first, then take advantage if the offer shows up.
