PC Optimum offers give you bonus points on targeted products, as long as you load them in the app before you pay. New personalized offers arrive every Thursday, and every 10,000 points is worth $10 at the register.
With over 4,500 participating locations across Canada, the PC Optimum program makes it easy to build up your account balance through in-person shopping, plus they even let you accelerate your savings with additional bonus offers!
In this guide, we go over each section of the current Offers tab so you can earn every point possible. If you also pay with the no annual fee PC World Elite Mastercard, you earn 30 points per dollar at participating grocery stores on top of your PC Optimum offers.
What Are PC Optimum Offers?
PC Optimum offers are special opportunities and promotions that give you bonus points on select products at designated stores.
They range from small 100-point bonuses up to large opportunities to earn 10,000+ bonus PC Optimum points.
Depending on where you live, you’ll find PC Optimum offers available for Loblaws-banner stores like No Frills, Maxi, and Provigo, and for merchants like Shoppers Drug Mart, Pharmaprix, Joe Fresh, Esso, and Mobil.
How Do PC Optimum Offers Work?
Your PC Optimum offers can be found by logging into your account, either on the PC Optimum website or through the PC Optimum app.
Every Thursday, a new set of personalized offers loads when you open the PC Optimum or PC Financial app. These offers target the grocery store and pharmacy you visit most.
To earn the points associated with each offer, just buy the selected product and scan your PC Optimum membership card. The advertised points should be deposited immediately, and you can always check your receipt to see that they were.
One rule matters more than the rest: an offer you haven't loaded before checkout earns you nothing, according to PC Optimum's help centre. We recommend opening the app every Thursday, before your weekly shop.
Types of PC Optimum Offers
PC Optimum revamped its Offers tab to sort your deals into sections. Here are the ones that earn you the most points:
Your hottest offers
At the top of the Offers tab, you'll see your 3 most valuable offers of the week. Start there: they usually carry the biggest bonuses.
Examples of past offers include the chance to earn a bonus of 20,000 or 30,000 points (equal to $20 or $30 in value!) when you spent $60 during the promotional period or 3 months of free Apple TV.
You may also see smaller but proportionally valuable offers like the chance to earn 2,000 points (worth $2 when redeemed) when you spend $5 or more on eligible convenience stores purchases at Esso stations.
Offers in your neighbourhood
Next come offers that are exclusive to the grocery store and pharmacy locations you visit most. If you shop at the same Shoppers Drug Mart or Pharmaprix every week, this is where you'll find its best deals.
In this category, you’ll see offers like the chance to earn 20x the points or to earn 40,000 bonus points when you meet the spending requirements.
Further down the tab, a section tracks your progress on offers that require several purchases, so you can see how close you are to the bonus.
Offers anywhere you shop
The offers in this section of your account are focused on a personalized list of products that are typically things you buy frequently, giving you a way to earn points and save on your regular grocery items.
These offers can earn you points at grocery stores and pharmacies, and they’re active for one week, typically refreshing on Thursdays.
Already stocked up? You can save up to 4 of these offers per week for the following week: tap the offer and choose "Save for next week." That way, you don't miss out on points just because you haven't eaten all your bananas yet.
The Offers tab also shows you top deals from this week's flyer, plus offers that let you stack several products into a single bonus, as seen in the images below:

Offers and coupons you added
When you add offers or digital coupons on a Loblaw store website, such as Loblaws or No Frills, they show up in this section of your PC Optimum account. It's another way to save money and earn PC Optimum points on eligible products.
Keep in mind that you have to add these coupons manually: you only earn their points after you select them.
Offers for other stores and partnered merchants
The final category of PC Optimum offers lets you enjoy promotions at stores other than your home grocery store and pharmacy.
This means that if you usually shop at a Loblaws near your house, in this section you might find offers for stores like No Frills, Real Canadian Superstore, or Provigo.
Program partners also help you earn. At Esso and Mobil stations, you get 10 points per litre of fuel just by scanning your PC Optimum card or app. And when you link your DoorDash account, you earn 5 points per dollar on eligible restaurant and Loblaw-banner orders, everywhere in Canada except Manitoba.
