Review: Residence Inn Orlando, Flamingo crossings Town center | Marriott Bonvoy

Many hotels are located around the various Disney World and Universal Studios parks. Depending on the season, prices can quickly rise. Here are a few reports from family-owned Marriott hotels to help you make a choice.

While in Orlando with our two children, we had in mind to visit 3 iconic Disney parks and wanted to be close to them:

• Epcot
• Animal Kingdom
• and the classic Magic Kingdom.

After analyzing the hotels’ prices and the parks’ distances, we chose the Fairfield Inn & Suites Orlando, located in the new Flamingo Crossings Town Center. Within walking distance are 3 other Marriott hotels:

• the TownePlace Suite Orlando
• Springhill Suites by Marriott Orlando
• Residence Inn Orlando at FLAMINGO CROSSINGS Town Center

We have not stayed at these hotels, but we have visited them for you to give you an overview. Here is a description of the Residence Inn Orlando.

The Residence Inn Orlando at FLAMINGO CROSSINGS Town Center hotel is available from 23,000 Marriott Bonvoy points or 262 CAD per night.

The best way to earn Marriott Bonvoy points is through either the Marriott Bonvoy^MD American Express^MD* Card and/or the Marriott Bonvoy^MD Business American Express^MD* Card.

In addition to the great welcome bonus on both cards, you’ll earn 2 points per dollar on all purchases and 5 points per dollar at Marriott locations. And each year, you’ll earn a certificate for one free hotel night (35,000 point value) and 15 elite nights toward your Marriott Bonvoy status.

The Residence Inn Orlando is located 15 miles from Orlando International Airport and about 10 miles from Walt Disney World Parks, which is ideal for early arrival to the parks. The Flamingo neighbourhood is quiet, and you will find several shops and restaurants.

The Residence Inn Orlando at FLAMINGO CROSSINGS Town Center is organized on seven floors and offers 85 rooms and 138 spacious suites suitable for extended stays.

Each room and suite has a fully equipped kitchen with a microwave, stove, refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher and dishes at disposal, and a dining table to be independent of the hotel services.

Everything is functional in order to make life easier for customers. Here are the different types of rooms that can be booked:

• studio with a king bed
• one bedroom suite, two queen size beds
• one bedroom suite, one king bed
• two bedroom suite, one king bed or 1 to 2 queen beds

The rooms are equipped with air conditioning, a large flat-screen TV, Wi-Fi connection and the ability to connect your Hulu, Netflix or Youtube accounts. Finally, there are USB outlets and ports and a desk area with an ergonomic chair.

The hotel offers a “market” on the first floor for necessities, drinks or snacks if needed. But several stores are nearby, just a few minutes away on foot.

Hotel parking is available at a cost of USD 10 per day.

The hotel offers an American continental hot breakfast service. The buffet is complimentary.

If you wish to eat outside, it is also possible, and picnic areas are provided with even barbecues. You can also enjoy :

• FatherStone’s, which serves American cuisine for lunch and dinner.

The Residence Inn Orlando offers guests a circular, heated outdoor pool, open from 8am to 11pm.
